I have build a 2DOF Seat mover and it's the best upgrade forsure.

Yesturday I tryed out Pcars 2 and the motionbit is amazingly good.

    But..

Suddenly one motor only works halfway ? In axix test ot goes from 0 to max minus scale just fine but from 0 and plus it happens nothing ??

This also happened on the other motor but there it's inverted. Zero to Max works fine, but Zero to Minimum on axislevel gives nothing ??

Does any one have any suggestion ? I have "re learned" both motors in the motor app and made made an new setup off everything in SimTools 2.0

It's in particular the right motor.. it feels like it got no strenght after the minimum to Zero.. so from zero to maximum ( axis spoken ) it loses strenght.. :(

Any idea what this could be ??

If the motors work well over part of their travel, I’d suspect your feedback. If you used potentiometers and the rig has some time on it, maybe the resistive element is just wearing out?

Hi, thanks for your answer.. sorry for late response, family life got in the middle ;-)

I changed the board sinc i hade 3pcs of 12v12 jrks, and rised the amp from 12 to 20 and then from 20 to 25 and the driving went sooo good, just mindblowing. and the potentiometers seemed ok and response over the hole range again.. but then the very same thing hapended to the new board so i wonder if it burned by to high ampere ? but then It wont work at all i guess ??

Can you please post pictures of all of your settings.

I am presuming you use heatsinks on the JRKs, given the fan, but just want to check to be sure.

    What PSUs are you using?

You might want to check the errors in the JRK utility. Not sure if they latch to where you can read them when you open it after running a sim or not, but if you have the current limits set to a value instead of to 0 (unlimited), it may be tripping out due to an overcurrent. Since you mention bumping the limits got your sim running, I’m wondering if it might still be tripping but just less frequently because it’s going at a higher value.

The H bridges limit internally at 50 to 55 amps but that isn’t good to hit since it is hard on the chips. Your mileage may vary but I put 35 amp fuses in the power lines to my JRKs and set the current limits to 0. So far it’s been working great.

    Good luck!

try swapping your potentiometers over to see if the problem swaps sides

Hi again, the simulator has been unused since other stuff been coming in my way. But I managed to swapmotors and test whit the good one and no problem was found so motors are good.

And suddenly Everything was workning again.. I also took time to screw all cables to ensure no problem is in there. Then continued to drive for a few Days and no problems found.

I was driving iracing and rf2 using PID setings 7.0 / 0.00300 / 1.0 10ms and limited = 0 and 20amp to motors. Fans on both motors and Pololu's whit heat sink.. no problems at all.

And man what a change in driving ! :D

Then I tryed pcars 2 and drived for a few laps and the motion was strong and responsiv, then suddenly got weak on one side ( the other side this time ) and now the motor ( or something ) wining when it getts load and cant get up the level from the gear box.. ??!!

The JRK givs motor errors, but the jrks is all good and is not burned at al.

Can I have burned the motor ?

can you swap motors or drivers to see if the problem goes to the other side ?
