I've run into a major problem, it's also weird because it started out of the blue.
Every time I start up NoLimits 2, game engine crashes and burns. The only clues I got are from .net framework
    here and here.
I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling or fixing every version of it 3.5 onward. So far no joy.

    Any insights please?

Running the latest version of NoLimits2, plugin version 2.0.0.4, Rift CV1 , 2DOF diy platform, entertainment license.

I believe with NoLimits2 you have to add an output string?
Did you do that by chance buddy?

Yes, telemetry is active. The sim worked fine up until a few days ago..

    So .NET is corrupted somehow.

Is System Restore to a pre problem an option?

Well, no, unless it messes with xsim's configs in some way. If windows updates weren't such a pita I'd just format and start over, but I was hoping someone else had this issue and found a fix.

    Could you try this buddy?
    • Close all running software applications.
    • Go to Windows Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs or Program and Features.
    • Select Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended.
    • Click Change/Uninstall, Remove or Repair.
    • Select the Repair option, click Next.
    • The wizard will perform a repair on the .NET Framework installation.
    • It is suggested to restart the Computer.
Let us know how it goes @stelian78

I've tried repairing that way, after that didn't work just uninstalled it, reinstalled it, even tried microsoft's tool here.
Sigh... I think it's just time to reinstall.

Negative, says it' already part of the os and that there's already a higher version installed. Should've mentioned it's running windows 8.1 64. Trying a sfc scan, if that fails i'll scrap it and start over.

Well, here we are at my wits' end.. It's been working just fine after a disk wipe and reinstall.
I've had it unplugged from the net just in case some update was the cause. Lo and behold, weeks later and 5 minutes of online time for Steam reasons, crash and burn.
It's happened on windows 8.1, happened again on 10.

I don't know... I'm out of ideas. Any logs I can give you that might give us a clue?

Note, seems it's related to NoLimits 2. Dirt Rally, Assetto, War Thunder and FSX still work fine.

I would look at your cables.
Maybe one of your interfaces is crashing?
Can you try one interface as a time?
Maybe do a run with your interfaces unplugged and see if you have problems.

I'll give it a shot Buddy but believe me, it can't be that. It's happened on 3 different rigs, all with their own hardware.
It has to be the plugin somehow, it's the only thing that fits..

    P.S. Using a Thanos amc1280 v2
    P.p.s. No joy.. Still crashes.

    What antivirus are you running?
Maybe the network traffic is getting blocked when you go online?

I've had this happen several times to me as well. SimTools is not very fault tolerant, and if it crashes for any reason settings can become corrupted.
Try going to your C:\Users\{User}\AppData\Local directory where Simtools settings are stored, and deleting GameManager\GameProfiles, GameEngine\Config & GameEngine\MaxMinProfiles for the affected game (in your case NoLimits 2). Good luck!

We don't use any. After everything's set up the pc-s are kept offline, they're not used for any casual activity.

Worth a shot. I'll report back later, thank you.

    @stelian78,
Sim looks like a blast buddy!
Is it going to have VR? or a big screen in front?
Both I imagine would be really cool!

There' a rift for each chair. I don't think a screen big enough for the platform would last much, given the range and intensity of motion..
