Hello all, hope somebody can help.

I'm running a DofReality P3 rig with traction loss. Trying to run Dirt Rally I seem to have a problem and hope somebody may e able to help or suggest possible solutions.

When I start a Dirt Rally stage everything seems to be working as expected with the motion rig. Lots of movement in pitch, roll and traction loss. However about half way through the first stage I lose all pitch and roll. Traction loss continues to work as expected.
If I complete the stage and go to the next stage I still have no pitch and roll however if I shut everything down and start again the motion works again for around half a stage and then loss of pitch and roll again.

I am aware my motion rig may be a little out of balance which could be stressing the motors but I don't have this issue in any other sims. When the motion rig is working with Dirt Rally I don't hear any of the axis motors straining or slippage at the gearbox which I can hear if the rig is way out of balance.

I have to say, when the rig is working, the motion is very good and immersive which is why I want to try and resolve this issue.

    Thanks in advance.

    Andy

By any chance are the PSUs or boards shutting down?

Thanks noorbeast but it was DofReality that suggested I ask the question on here.

I guess they suggest its hardware because the motors don't stop on any other simulator (Assetto Corsa, Automobilista, RFactor 2 and iRacing) and the traction loss motor continues to operate although that's probably a separate sub-system.

The control box doesn't seem to get hot. But if, as I assume, the axis 1 and axis 2 motors are one control board with the axis 3 motor being controlled separately then you would likely lose both axis at once.
