Starting planning out my new rig, and decided on 2 dof shoulder mount seat mover (will add TL once I'm done paying for my wife's college). I plan on using my corbeau seat from my static rig (~17 lbs), so would I be fine using 25:1 gearboxes or should I get the 50:1?

Already knew about simcalc, however my computer is somewhere in a moving truck right now, so I only have internet via my phone. Thanks for the info though. 25:1's it is.

I wouldn't just say its a Clear cut case of Seat mover = 25:1 and Full Frame = 50:1

I would Very much consider the overall weight of said Driver's....IF you and your buddys are larger folk say 220lbs+ or so....I would still look into the 50's

I'm just shy of 200, and the seat is 17 lbs. I'm thinking I'll be alright with the 25s, time will tell though.

im try 25 but moving to 50:1 ( full frame ). My platform is about 180kg and 4 buttkickers has come. In added, 15kg for this adds and more 2 fans 270cfm for wind.
