    handbrake and shifter fitted. I have just got to tidy up a few cables and it's done i think. Will carry out the shifter mod like @f1iceman suggested and get another ball screw just to stiffen it up abit but it doesn't move at all which has improved it dramatically.

    Hi Crammy

    What a nice piece of art, really awesome work. I'm looking to build something very similar like your first build (dbox style motion) my main concern is the HyperAXIS100 do you had any overheating problem, how much detail can you feel like engine vibration? Prosimu use the same actuator and I heard that they can overheat after 30min of use... My plan is to build a 8020 cockpit with DD Wheel and HE pedals. I believe the total weight (cockpit+gear+me) it will be 210kg do you think I will have any problem? thanks for sharing your build... cheers Gefferson

    Hi @Gefferson Im not too sure about the weight. in theory it should be fine. the actuators them selves are quite heavy so having them upside down like mine is also less weight to move.
    When i first set up my rig they were getting quite hot but since lowering the amount of movement/travel they barely get warm.
    they are really detailed but i don't think you can feel engine vibration, but haven't really looked for it. I wouldnt of thought any sim would feel engine vibration unless its an output from sim tools

    Hi Jerry here; this looks like it would weigh a considerable amount!
    Question: 1/ do you know the estimated weight, when in use?
    2/ you mentioned you are using actuators;
    a/ can you say the output in Nm? b/ and the duty cycle
    3/ to use the actuators, is there a physics calculation you can share with me?

    regards Jerry.

    While not directly related to actuators with respect to 3 you may find SimCalc is useful to understand the basic physics: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...e-linear-speed-and-forces-of-your-design.270/

    Thanks Noorbeast, I had a look at Simcalc after you suggested. So it looks like I will have to come up with a schematic for the build in order to ascertain power/stroke needed to move the rig efficiently.

    thanks for making my life easier:)
