    Hi all,

I am posting in this thread as I solely use iRacing and I only intend to using my motion rig in this game and I also don't know where else to put this question in this forum. Plus I dont want to offend anybody by mentioning Sim Commander software...

I am running the Sim Xperience Sim Commander software to power and control a base shaker on my stationary rig at the moment. I am in the process of preparing and getting ready to build a 2DOF Wiper motor Arduino motion platform. With all the reading I am doing, I am getting most of my questions answered but so far i havent come across this question -

Does anybody know if I can use Sim Xperience Sim Commander software to control my Arduino Wiper motor 2DOF motion rig?

Everything I have read talks about using the SMC3/SimTools combo but I have paid for the Sim Commander software for the purpose of base shakers so if I can utilise that software, neat - if not, my problem and not yours! Lol Does the Sim Commander software only talk to its own products (Sim Xperience Acctuators) or can it read/send information to the Arduino via additional software?

Sorry for the lack of knowledge and experience but I am reading a lot of things and trying to expand both. I will already acknowledge this is probably a silly question to some people and I feel dumb for asking it but hopefully people are kind. Please dont hate on me for talking about another motion software product.

    Cheers

Hi, your question seems to relate to the capabilities of the Sim Experience software, not Simtools. Many on this site use both, but your question is best directed to software support at the Sim Experience site ( I would expect the answer to be no ;), but they do update it, so your never know).

Thanks for the response. I posted here on the off chance people had tried or had experience with using their motion sims built from here and using a different software to control it. I am a happy camper though as now I have another box ticked of what I need to do to achieve my goal.

    Thanks again
