Hello, I am wiring the SCN5 and the diagram shown by nclabs in his thread. Problem is that the colours of the wires doesn't match the place in the grid refference. Manual says brown wire is the ILK is brown coloured, that is placed (according to nclabs thread) in the eight slot, but mine is in 6th slot. Do I wire it to the 6th slot?

It's a SCN5-10-100-as03-NA, it's japanese , but has PNP wiring, ILK goes to 24v... so I am confused. Should I guide myself fearlessly by colours or by the grid in the nclabs thread?

    Thank you in advance!

hello it has a euro ilk so it goes to to 24 v

    hello mirai is japonese

but in usa canada europe it is predominant to find euro ilk version (ilk to 24v)

in asia the chances are higher to find the japonese version (ilk to 0v)

the ASo3 is a euro ilk version
the S03 is a japonese ilk version

Yep, mine is the european type, as03, so ILK goes to 24v. But should I wire it according to the colours or the scheme in the socket?

Manual says brown is the ILK (6h slot in my socket) , but tutorial says ILK is the 8th slot, which is greyish,

My question is: should I wire it to brown in the 6th or the grey in 8th?

hello, rely on the diagram and the tuto for the position of the ilk wire .
that is certain the tuto has it right as i wired it several times in the past. I will have to have a llok though for the wire color. But you will have it right just with the position described in the tuto

All right, Thank you very much! Monday I'll pick up the PSU and wire it.
Your SCN5 has a greyish wire in the 8th too?

    that s right greyish
make sure to use 2200 ohm resistor (very very important). this will limit the current to the ilk
    use also the zener diod

if circuitry related to ilk is dead the actuator will be useless unless reprogrammed to ignore the ilk.
just take your time making the wiring

Very thanks! Now I have trouble with two things... I have the electric wiring to test the actuator but not the electronic part. I have a pair of these "Adaptater Usb A Rs485 / Rs422 with Ft232rl and Max485" for which I can't find the drivers, I am not sure if these are: link to drivers

I also did my first wiring which is awful, and a disgrace, also, the picture is blurry!

I just downloaded SimTools. I was reading that the main points to make the actuator work are:

-Make the PSU conection (Is there any feedback, any move, when you do it right if it's umplugged from the usb?)
-Make the USB-RS485 conection (Any window should appear when I plug the USB?)
    -Check the COM ports!

Thank you for your reply! I have been trying with countless drivers on that generic usb to no avail. Though the acquisition of a Devantech adapter is somthing difficult because in my country, to import things is a pain in the buttoncks. There are other option, tho. I'll show you some pictures of the possible adapter I can buy online, close to my location.

By the way, can you show me a link for the Advantech adapter?
    And thanks again!
