ORBX is introducing Project A, beautiful detailed scenery for Aerofly FS 2: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/127824-project-a/

For the first time ORBX has a firm focus on VR performance, one of Aerofly FS 2 key features as it natively supports both the Vive and Rift.

To top it all off Aerofly FS 2 Flight Simulator is -10% @ $44.99 USD during the current Steam sale.

After the previous negative reviews which they were inconclusive, i did not have the courage to buy this flight sim.Its a beautiful game but Im happy in this moment with FSX+FlyInside 1.71 and the many Addons that i have. ORBX Products cost ca.200 Euros the Game alone 49 Euros but its worth to buy,It will be sure the best flight sim even with VR, :thumbs

If you have the Rift you can't go past Aerofly FS2. While not as technical as P3D by any stretch, for sheer jaw dropping visuals from a stunning 3D cockpit, it's unbeatable.

Can't wait to try this out on Simtools V2.

    A further update: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/to...ip-to-co-publish-hd-content-for-aerofly-fs-2/

The LOWI and KCGX airports will be available to purchase from 15th June 2017 on the OrbxDirect.com web store and will be managed by Orbx's FTX Central application for automatic updates. Likewise, for existing IPACS customers who prefer Steam LOWI and KCGX will also be available to purchase from the Steam store as DLC.

Exclusive to Orbx customers who have an OrbxDirect.com account, there will be a 40% discount offered to anyone who has previously purchased those airports for FSX/P3D. Orbx intends to offer this discount for all future content sold across different sim platforms. The discount works both ways, so any customers who purchase the AFS2 version of LOWI and KCGX first, will be offered 40% off for the FSX/P3D version.

@Archie - drhotwings said a helo is coming soon and it’s really going to be fun exploring the ORBX sceneries with a helo.

Also on that 40% discount if you already own an airport or region, ORBX is running an end of year sale and have been teasing about some new airports and scenery for AFS2. For those with P3D or FSX, if you get the end of year sale prices, you might save some coin overall.

Over on the AFS2 forum, someone posted that ORBX's Pacific Northwest region was running well in alpha testing and they hope to make it available soon. Looks like all the ORBX sceneries will eventually be ported over. ORBX seems fully involved in supporting AFS2, possibly as they watch sales for FSX decline since it’s no longer supported and rapidly aging compared to what’s happening in the other sims.

I know many think AFS2 isn’t a technical sim but the devs have been plotting their roadmap and the graphics are just unbelievable. I’ve got Meigs and Monterey in FSX/P3D and it looks just so much better in AFS2. The ORBX guys seem to really like the AFS2 render engine for whatever that’s worth. We'll see how they do on actually delivering and how things progress compared with other sims, but for now it’s really gorgeous. Really needs multiplayer and AI traffic though but they know that.
