1C Game Studios have signed an agreement to cooperate with Team Fusion mods regarding the future commercial development of IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover.

Team Fusion’s work will be offered as an official content update and patch for Cliffs of Dover on Steam and will initially be optional. The update will be codified by Team Fusion and officially entered into the source code and file system for COD then be permanently updated through Steam negating the need for a separate patch.

Later in 2017 the first commercial add-on for Cliffs of Dover will be released. The add-on will be focused on the North Africa theater and will update the engine to DirectX 11 and include new airplanes, a new map and other content and improvements: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topi...signs-agreement-team-fusion-il-2-sturmovik-c/

One thing you will need to do is turn 'Beta' downloads on in Steam as that is what the official v4.312 patch is listed under.

Anyone tried the latest update in VR? Does SimTools support?

I think your referring to IL2-Bos this post was about cliffs of dover. I have tried the VR update on Battle of Stalingrad and it's fantastic, simtools does not support it yet because they have frequent updates and no access to telemetry.

Thanks for the clarification.. on both counts. I might try BOS, but really i want to have some VR fun in a spitfire. Were you impressed by the graphics upgrades? My benchmark for flightsim graphics is Aerofly FS2. DCS disappointed me in that regard

If you want to try a Spitfire in VR then download War Thunder, it is free, then go to the test fly section and select a Spitfire.

They will be releasing a spitfire in their new Battle of Kuban expansion. The graphics really impressed me and the frame rates held up nicely in VR, also very little aliasing (gauges are clear). Another thing is there is no motion sickness whatsoever compared to War Thunder.

Thanks - I need to invest more time than I've so far been prepared to if I'm going to get the most out of this game. I found it hard enough mapping the controls. It still seems very keyboard centric.

Clear gauges in VR - I like the sound of that. Many thanks.
