    dear all..
'I have a collection of 3 actuators that came out of a commercial motion simulator for sale.

I am looking for advise of what would be a reasonable asking price.

I also have the motors and original controllers that were with it but not sure how well the motors work 2 work for sure but one of them used to blow the fuse.''I have taken the machine apart to refurb, but decided to buy a different one since so selling the parts...

The motion simulator was cruisin USA and cost me a truck load of money :)

    Literally... haha

That's no way mate... sorry... I would keep it all
For a diy project if that's all it can fetch...

I put this up just to have a idea of what people say that it's worth... surely would be worth a lot

Also. Shipping would be insanely expensive as these things are proper solid and huge

Being real with you, you are going to have a hard time selling them I believe. The motors on those things draw a shit ton of amperage and really arent that great. I have seen the entire cabinet go for around 1500 before and I can put my hands on one right now for 2 grand. I think your best bet is for someone that needs to repair their crusin usa machine.

    good luck.

Yes, you probably right...Thanks fir the insight and opinion anyway.

I am really not bothered if it sells of not..

I have had the intention to build a motion platform for ages, maybe I will do after I finish my refurb of my spaceship haha... If the still around..

Just thought I should put the info out there in case...

    Cheerio

Im guessing you could get 250 a piece maybe for the motors and actuators..maybe more. Only issue is they were used and prob abused in an arcade from 1994. Not sure how that driver board works so for simtools we would need a new in software driver interface or what most likely would happen is a need for a new motor driver. Those motors pull like 70/80 amps I think.

Good motors though, they were bought out out by kollmorgen who has awesome motors.

    The shaft look nice too.

I would need to measure tomorrow... Quite large..

They are also solid and super fast when they were working.

I remember the machine did a calibration every time it switched on and literally extended to the max whitin a second..

If I didn't' know they came out of a cruisin USA I would have guessed they came out of some professional grade flight simulator or something...

NO IDEA WHO BUILT THE ACTUATORS THOUGH...

THE MOTORS LOOK AS THEY HAVE SOME SORT OF ENCODER AT THE END... NOT SURE HOW TO WORK WITH ENCODERS YET, WILL BE PICKIMG YOU GUYS BRAINS SOON ABOUT IT ;-)

My initial idea was to buy some servo motors (which I also did) lol from Parker and try to adapt to the shaft on the actuator.

That was I could simply send the signals somehow to the servo and end up with the positioning/feedback...

Another one of my projects that got nowhere...
