It has been a while since I have last posted on this site getting the help I needed to get my Flight Simulator Motion Platform up and running. I am using just 2DOF at this time (Pitch /Roll) and it is working quite well. What I am asking is: A. can I incorporate Heave using only 2DOF or B. do I need to add another actuator and have 3DOF to make this happen?

In my opinion, you can not have a heave effect without putting a new actuator

Why wouldn't you be able to add heave ? Also imo your Axis Assignments are Not right, You have 2 motor's correct ? Axis 1 and Axis 2 are said motor's....you only have 1 force on each motor which is very much wrong. Each Axis should have the same Force. Each DOF is a force. So DOF 1 can be Pitch, DOF 2 can be Roll, DOF 3 can be Heave, Ect ect ect.

It would help if you have one build thread and post all related questions and information there, members can't be much help if they have to go looking for basic information about what design and hardware you are using.

As I understand it this is your design: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/quicker-respones-time.5897/#post-62427

Given the design and low power motors for actual heave you would need some sort of spring assist, like I use on my 3DOF compact simulator: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/dx-racer-compact-simulator.5866/page-15#post-83752

You should also post all your settings, as your rig is using and should be configured for 3 motors.

Your settings look fine to me, if you use one motor for roll and one for pitch.
You can simulate heave on your pitch axis.
Add heave to DOF #2 for pitch at 100%, and use the filter "boundary" and set it to 8%.
    you should feel some bumps!

Thank all of you for your info. I will try to put some heave into my simulator along with the pitch. (easy to do) and will let you know what happens. I have been looking for some pictures of my simulator and when I find them I will post them. I am now using two wench motors and that gives me all the power I need. The motors are strong enough to let me set up a two seater (side by side) platform.

Well just to let you know I set up my profile for "heave" and what a time. The motion platform came to life and when I added weather into it "WOW". Now when I land you can feel the runway, a whole new experience. here are some pictures of my simulator .

Would love to see a video of that in action.

I'm intrigued about the motor placements and movement you would get with the setup you have. Looks interesting.

Archie I am in the process of changing my main view from (Dual Head to go) to Triple Head to go. When I get that completed I will post a video.
