    Hi all, I have problems with the construction of a 2DOF, I am using a R3 Arduino and motor controllers IBT-2, but I can not make engines, and install the SMC3, and does not work to move, I made the connections according to its instructions, set the simtools as indicated, but still does not work, could someone please help me?

    You will need be a bit more specific with clear pictures of hardware and all settings plus explanations of what exactly you have done, for example confirming what mode you are using.

    Check all connections well.
    Revisa bien todas las conexiones.
    MODE2:

    Arduino to H-Bridge (Chinese 43A)

    ENA ----> IN1/RPWM
    ENB --+-> EN1/R_EN
    +-> EN2/L_EN (ie connect ENB to both R_EN and L_EN)
    PWM ----> IN2/L_PWM
    n.c. ----> IS1/R_IS
    n.c. ----> IS2/L_IS
    +5V ----> VCC
    GND ----> GND

    The image below shows wiring for two motors... Thanks to @eaorobbie for getting me started with the image :thumbs

    Changes in the code mode1 or mode2 .
    In line 9 places #define MODE1 and for that H bridge you have to change #define MODE2
    I hope I've helped.

    Cambia en el código mode1 a mode2.
    En la linea 9 pone #define MODE1 y para ese puente H lo tienes que cambiar a #define MODE2
    Espero haberte ayudado.

    thanks for answering.
    if in fact, as it did this diagram, but still does not work, and I have it in MODE2, but the engines do not move, I upload a photo

    looks scary :grin

    A video may be more helpful. Are you testing with SMC3Utils? If so does it show serial comms packet count at the bottom right of the screen?

    A screenshot of SMC3Utils would also be helpful.

    if indeed, use the SMC3Utils but not the engines, the moment can not get a video move, but you take a screenshot, and a picture of the source of power I'm using

    Well I just uploaded a video where I show the connection, tested in SMC3Utils, and loading the SMC3 arduino in MODE2, I would like to be told that fails, the SMC3Utils not peromite enabled me engines, thanks in advance for your help.

    your potentiometer (feedback green line) is out of limits(max limit) and smc3 shuts down the motors(protection for failure).
    max limits and clip input shouldn't have the same value
    move green line inside the red line limits and motors should be turned on again.

    How do I do that?
    What is the value that I have to move, or I have to move the potentiometers?

    just turn the pot with hand to find the middle point. you can find the middle point with a multi-meter (find the half V or Ω) or with SMC with the graph, get the green line match with the dark blue at the middle point(click the middle button at the right of the graph) and then turn pot to match blue line and be careful when you test it because you could have the pot not tracing the right way and may need to swap some cables (either on pot or motors)

    I have a new problem, it works in smc3Utils, but it does not work in simtools, the time to test, it does not work with binary, it only works in decimal, and move the axis until 21% moves the axis1 until it exceeds the limit, and it locks The movement, which I did wrong?

    It often helps troubleshooting if you post clear screenshot pictures of all of your settings.

    Now it is with this configuration, but it does not work in this position, the motor is activated only in desimal, but only moves in a value of -21%, and moves until re-setting the limit of the assigned in SMC3Utils, and this stops, And again I have to adjust the return of the potentiometer to the midpoint.

    Can I confirm that the SMC3Utils is not running at the same time as SimTools, as they will be trying to use the same Com Port.

    Have Packet Rate at 10ms, your Interface Settings and Axis Assignments should be like this: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...-and-windows-utilities.4957/page-5#post-50249

    Check your language setting are English local, as there is a known SimTools bug: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/language-setting-bug-change-to-english-local.233/

    Test the sway and surge in the the Output Testing section of SimTools.

    As @noorbeast says make sure SMC3Utils is shutdown before using simtools.

    Also the interface settings are wrong.. should be as below (select your com port number though)

    Thanks for replying now if it works correctly, I was wrong in the Output-Bit Range, it was 10 and not 8, I could upload photos of the progress of my simulator in a couple of days, since I still have to get some mechanical components, in the market Local, again thank you all.
