    Hi all!
My name is Anders and I`m from the North part of Sweden, and I´m 43yers old.
I´ve started very recently with sim. I own a GtOmega static rig, Thrustmaster t500rs with pedals, F1 add-on, and a th8a shifter. You can meet me in AC, LFS, PC,or F1.
If I saw this site earlier I probably would`nt buy a static rig at all.

But anyway, now I decided to build a motion rig and perhaps with traction loss

I first have to decide which way to go, my budget is about 2k. I´ve lookt at simxperience but it´s too expensive I Think? Do you have any suggestions? I like the Simxperience solution.
Can I use my GtOmega, have anyone build from this chassie?

Thank you for a Great site, love this!

    Hi,
My name is Charles, and I am new to this site. I am interested in creating a motorbike racing sim. But based on a lot of things I read I'll probably start out with a 2DOF chair to get my feet wet. If anyone has any pointers and advice please don't be a stranger.

I'm also based in the Metro-Detroit Area in Michigan

    Hello everyone!

My name is Damjan, and I come from Slovenia. I love racing sims and aslo flight sims. Couple of years ago I ran on this forum and start to think how great would be to have a simulator at home. Now finally I moved from small studio apartment to girls parrents house, which gave me a chance to build one.
I am thinking of starting with 2DOF simulator for my first project. We will see how it goes.

    Welcome @Machzatan and @Charles Powell.

You have come to the right place, there is a really active community here who freely give of their time and expertise.

You will find plenty to get you started in the FAQs, from design software, dimension of sims, to PSUs, pots, motors, JRKs, Arduinos and Motor Monsters and more: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

There are some specific FAQ sections dealing with traction loss @Machzatan:

Approaches to building traction loss https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/traction-loss.174/

SimTools tips for traction loss: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/traction-loss-in-simtools.175/

Motorbike simulation is problematic @Charles Powell, because of a lack of centrifugal force, so your 2DOF chair is a good idea, read the full threads here regarding bike simulation:

    Hello everyone,
recently found this forum looking for some alternative to x-sim software because I find it too complicated for users without knowledge as something advanced.
he leido algo sobre el software sim tool y creo que puedo intentar instalar lo por mi mismo y hacerlo funcionar en mi cockpit.
I read something about the sim software tool and I think I can try to install it on my own and make it work in my cockpit.
As I say I do not have much knowledge in software, hardware or electronics to assist others in these matters but where possible intentere put my bit.
Sorry if something is not well understood because I have to use google translator to write. I do not speak English well :(.

    Greetings everyone.

My name is Markus. Currently i am studying engineering in Bavaria, Germany.

As a project in our university, we are going to build a 6 DOF plattform, that is supposed to be transportable and if possible cost efficient.
At the moment we are searching for electric linear actuators to power a plattform of about 300kg max. weight, and that are hopefully easy to programm,
it should represent in somewhat our faculty.
Could someone tell how strong and how dynamic, like speed and acceleration, these electric actuators, atleast have to have or where to buy them.

    Kind regards to everyone.

    Welcome @Klidur.

This is the Welcome thread, so is not the place to ask questions. Best to start your own project thread here and re-post your comments on it: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

You could consider making your own actuators, particularly if the budget is tight, as it would save a lot of money: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/diy-linear-actuators.248/

    Hello all,

I'm joining because I'd like to build a motion sim someday and I've built a tactile transducer to test the waters. Looking forward to future communications!

I've discover your website by searching info about motion simulator. After some reading and idea popping in my head I wand to built one.
Nothing existing (by my research, may be wrong) suit my need and dream of immersion.
So just started a thread about my idea.

    Hi All,

Well upon finding this site my ideas of building a wooden driving seat rig have just got upgraded.

I think I am going to try and make a 2DOF rig, using some wiper motors. Love all the information here, I am going to try and find the strongest motors I can as I'm 6ft2+ and 110kg.

Have a look at existing member builds, that may help you refine your own project ideas: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

Given your size and weight you would need plenty of leverage like a shoulder mount seat shaker design and even so I would recommend you consider using or upgrading to more powerful DC motors to make the most of your sim.
