    Just tried out this patch. It is perfect for my motion platform and with a bit of tweaking in Tuning Centre I have the right amount of motion of my servo motors for Pitch, Heave, Slip (exactly the right motion for lateral sway when kicking over the rudder) and Shake Levels. Thank you so much. The only problem I have is that Airspeed on Extra 2 does not work. On checking in Virtual Axis in Output Testing the slider for Extra 2 is fixed at the right end of scale and does not move. Thank you again for your help.

    Strangely, I have just reloaded everything and bingo! everything is working including airspeed. Sorry to have bothered you.

    Just dawned on me about Airspeed. Tinkered with Tuning Centre and got nice movement of servo, but when stationary servo is in mid position and goes through 90 degrees to max speed. It would be much better for flight sims if when stationary servo is at 90 degrees left and at max speed is at 90 right, so that the full movement of servo can be used. Unless I am missing something... I guess cars can go backwards, but not planes.

    I can to subtract (in the plugin) some constant from Air Speed value. But I think it will be better to give us a possibility to make some mathematical operations with DOF values in SimTools Axis Setup instead in plugin. But this is question to Yobuddy.

    Hi Historiker

    What do you fly? I have been flying IL-2 for many years, but the graphics and damage models in Cliffs of Dover are fantastic and runs really well now that Team Fusion have done their mod. I like the P-51 in DCS World very much too, but challenging to fly and as for dogfights... less said the better.

    The nearer we can get to 180 degrees for Airspeed the better for us flight sim guys. Amongst other things, my speed servo operates a pressure valve which pneumatically stiffens my control column with increasing speed. To double the gear ration to drive it with 90 degrees is straining things. Delighted with all the other outputs in IL-2. I had been hoping for Shake Levels for ages. I will use it to insert pink noise into my bass shakers. An extra warning vibration that you are about to stall. Excellent!

    Hi Hugso,

    I fly IL-2 1946, but agree with your assessment. I also fly CLoD and very much agree that Team Fusion has really brought that game back to life. DCS P-51 is the best looking full switch sim that I have ever flown. But unfortunately there is no game there, who wants to dogfight with an F-15? lol. I am very hopefull of the new DCS WW2 project though so there might actually be WW2 maps and missions in the future.

    I eventually plan to finish my F-18C Hornet cockpit, as soon as I have a platform to put it on top of ;)

    As to Bass Shakers, stay tuned; there are plans in the works to create a plugin for Simtools to run Bass Shakers. I am very excited about the prospects.

    Hi Historiker

    A plugin for bass shakers would be brilliant. I merely feed audio at present, but for some years I used the FFB signal, filtered, into the audio. It was pretty good, nice vibrations when about to stall and taxiing on grass etc, but FFB has died the death, so something along the lines of what SimVibe is doing for racing cars would be great. I am looking forward to DCS WW2 map and planes too. It's the piston engined jobs I like the best.

    I am also struggling to get any output, I have installed plugins on both computers, patched the game on the Game Manager, the simulator works with the likes of rFactor and Race07, but nothing on IL-2

    Here are some pics of my settings, hopefully this can help someone point out how blind and dumb I am currently being.

    I'm not home right now but you have to add some lines to your config file for it to work something like this.

    [DeviceLink]
    port=21100
    host=192.168.0.106

    I'll check when I get home. only add the host part if your running simtools from a different pc.

    So you mean just add the line "host=192.168.0.106" to my IL-2 Config File on my games machine ?

    I run everything on one machine so i'm not quite sure how the host IP works. I only have port 21100 in my config. Also if you want to run motion online you need to search for this mod DeviceLink_2_2 by Fireball. Otherwise you can only run motion in singleplayer locally.
