    Hello. Built my own motion flight sim using Progressive Automation Actuators and Pololu controllers. Total cost to build was around CAD$2500.00 (just the motion part)
    The sim works really well. Have 6 DOF and it is something the average person could build. Not very complicated.
    Actuators are 200lb - 1.6in/sec for Pitch, Roll, Heave and Surge. And 100 - 2.8in/ sec for Yaw and Sway. Used chair pistons to offset weight with total up force of 320lbs. With me in the sim the actuators support about 5lbs to move about. So it is at full efficiency. It has the speed for small aircraft and flight simming. Not sure if this setup will work for a race car with those fast acting road bumps.

    I would really like to see a video of your rig in action.

    It would likely be a bit slow for racing, but that does not matter as you did not build it for that.
