    Hello everyone,
I come from China, in the Internet search SCN electric cylinder data found this site. Although my English is not good, but I am still in a serious reading of the various information on the site. But now only understand one, learned some basic knowledge. Hope that after a long time of study can learn more.
    Greatings

Hi everyone. Noob here. I was looking for a place where I could find as much info as possible to build a sim rig. Looks like I found it here. There's a wealth of information about everything with software etc, which is perfect! Obviously I first have to find plans/drawings of a rig to build that first, then do the actuator and software setup. I have a good, yet limited knowledge of computets ans electronics, so hopefully learning and understanding the programming won't be such a stressful task. As for the mechanical part, I work in a machine shop with all necessary tooling freely available to my expense, so building a rig is not a problem at all (although finding plans somehow is ). I already built myself a sequencial shifter and are currently busy building a gt style pedal set. The shifter is hooked up to a torn apart ps2 control atm, until I get to know the software and programming involved to make it more professional. Anyways, I'm sure I'll find all the info I need here. Thanx.

Hi, I'm new here. I'm starting my project. I have in mind to start with a 2DOF platform, mature it and then try to escalate to another more complex (something like a 3 or 4 DOF.

    Hi all,

I initially stumbled onto this forum while searching for something quite unrelated.. since then I've been lurking in the background, reading about some of the really interesting projects!

I'm a long-time sim cockpit builder, with 2 fixed base sims in my garage, and always looking for ways to improve the immersion factor.
Something which really interests me is building a "motion-cue" seat for my fast-jet simulator. I work on an airliner, fixed base sim which has some really nice motion-cue seats, and would really like to develop something similar to give a G, turbulence and touch-down effects.

I have a pile of JRK's and access to some nice motors and gearboxes, plus a 3d printer and large CNC router.... excited about what I may be able to do :)

it is safe to use a plastic gear (default gear) for motion simulator?
