Hi Nick, are you using ABS, PLA, or other? I have only ever used ABS but wonder if I should give something else a try.

these are paid files from SimRacingEngineering.

The printer came with a Roll of PLA and it prints Awesome i must say, I did pick up 6 rolls the other day, 2 cheap black PLA 1 Roll of PETG in Translucent Red, some Cheap Orange and Green PLA, and a roll of black TPU to try some more hand grips with. TPU is the Flexible Elestomer with a shore hardness of 91.

The Next wheel project most likely.

@Nick Moxley you ever seen a replacement print for a G27 wheel ? I know its not a great wheel but I cant afford a new one just yet but putting a bigger wheel on it or changeable wheels would be awesome :)

Congratulations on the quality of the realization!:thumbs

It makes you want to buy a 3D printer
What type and reference of the printer you use?

    @Nick Moxley
Félicitations pour la qualité de la réalisation !
Cela donne envie d'acheter une imprimante 3D
Quel est le type et la référence de l'imprimante que vous utiliser ?

I have teamed up with the owner of SimRacingEngineering to provide a cheaper alternative to Shapeways.

    Wheel feels great.

The printer I Have is called a Prusa i3 Mk2, the Prusa i3 is probably the most knocked off 3d printer out there. The Mk2 is the newest version with all the new updated parts and firmware on it. I cant suggest it more, Its an awesome little unit.

This is my next project, Playing with TPU filament, First prints (not sim related) went perfect.
Im crazy impressed with how flexible and durable this TPU is. Flexible Hand grips here I come. :grin

Beware tho, dont be an ideot and not have a layer of glue on the bed when printing flexible stuff, you WILL wreck the PEI film.....ask me how i know....ffs

I use acetone on the bed smeared with old plastic for my projects to create a solid adhesion surface. Not one issue since I started that.

You have a glass bed tho correct ? this is a PEI bed, and the TPU stuck Soooooo bad, i felt like i was going to RIP the part to shreds, As a matter of fact i did have the Inner most wall on the inside box on the "foot" come apart from the other layer, I guess thats a good sign i need to play with my extrusion rate, or would i want to increase the extrusion width ? I had it on Auto in S3D so not 100% sure what the exact width was.

All i have cleaned with so far with the PLA has been Glass cleaner, ..i was about to print another one with some stick glue on the advise from the Prusa Tech this morning, but now ive been told to use Tape with the TPU to ensure a easy removal by another tech i spoke to. I like the tape idea much more than Glue.

You need to play with your bed temp, you want it to stick to the plate but not be melted to it. I find it also easier at times to do a preheat on the bed if its cooled down too much. This makes it come off much easier.
