    Thank you @noorbeast.

In fact, I have two projects :

One for myself just for pure entertainment at home.

The second is with students. The goal is to allow them to practice and design their own motion sim for road safety purposes. There's nothing commercial behind this project, just a last year student project.

No problem but I am at the very beginning...

I have to decide first which type of actuator is the best for my 3Dof project : rotary servo motors, linear actuators and try to understand what solution is the best performance/noise/cost ratio...

    High guys

My name is David and I have been looking at your site for some time trying to get inspiration for a Flight simulator that I would like to build myself.

The desire to build a flight motion simulator came about from, being involved in the building of a flight simulator for a local ATC Squadron here in Surrey, the Squadron in question had purchased a motion sim seat from Atomic Motion Systems and after having a go on the seat I wanted one, but could not afford the price, so I am going down the self-build road.

And I plan to build a 2dof or 3dof with heave

I have already started manufacturing components for the simulator ready to assemble.

    Hello!

My name is Stefan and i am from Munich. I am Student and dont have that much money. I wanted for my Dirt Rally Rig a buttkicker solution. First i tried X-Sim but it was completly hopeless to get started.
So now i am here :).

I want everytime i shift gears, the buttkicker should "work".
is this with xsimulator possible? or is only Movement possible?

    Greetings from Germany :)

    Welcome @Stefan Nnu

The current version of SimTools does not support transducers, but it is planned for SimTools 2.0, which is currently in development.

Welcome to the forum. When you install your sim tools there is a great link to the documentation. You can do the quick guide if you know more about this software or you can do the more detailed version. The FAQ is great and when you have a project the guys here should be able to get you started.

Hello from Columbus, OHIO. I'm new to motion sims and an avid racing sim fan. Looking for information on how to obtain parts/supplies/info about DIY racing sim motion rigs. In particular, something similar to the Next Level V.2

    Welcome @TimCooper.

You have come to the right place, there is a really active community here who freely give of their time and expertise.

What you seem to be looking for is a compact design simulator. A number of members have built such simulators including myself, do keep in mind that a compact type of design can take more power to drive it compared to say a shoulder mount design: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=site:xsimulator.net+compact+simulator&ia=web

You will find plenty to get you started in the FAQs, from design software, dimension of sims, to PSUs, pots, motors, JRKs, Arduinos and Motor Monsters and more: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

Good luck with your compact simulator project.

    Hi everyone,
I am new in this field. Because of some interesting reason, I fall in the simulator world.
Maybe Arduino control board seems to be the suitable choice building up my simulation environment with lower cost.
Thanks for the abundant information in the forum.

    Best regards.,
    Josh

    Hello every body !

My name is Delo and my first loves started with arcade machines and especially race arcade machines. When I was young I spent long time (and money !) to sega rally, daytona, scud race and other ones !
Few years ago I could have my own game room and I found a twin sega rally 2 cabinet which reminded me all good time. Since this moment I've tried some race games from PC and I wanted to have mine. But all commercial solutions as logitech or thrusmaster I could test let me a sensation of toys. That's why I'm building a heavy duty simulator from a servomotor as you find in MMOS or Mizoo solutions.

I have bought an old empty arcade machine :

    le mans.jpg

My idea is to replace parts to create a PC simulator. For the moment I've replaced the screen and the original wheel motor by a servo Lenze working with an Argon driver.
I would like now modify the dashboard to insert LEDs indicators, 7 segments for example.
Typically games will be Project Cars, Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally. Why not put one or two sega emulators (model 2 and 3) just for fun !
