    Hello
So finally tried full 1.7.3 update with cv1 and i believe i'm officially done with my setup - everything is on its place like i wanted to (text below is my own quotation from ac forum)
So i decided to take a video how it actually looks now - this is what was intended to be with dof rig, finally no lcd and full submersion, despite the hmd sde.
I'm so sorry for such crappy video (and crappy driving lol), i chopped the head off, and only after the video was done i thought i should record myself at full scale, besides i just learn how to produce picture in picture videos. Alas the overall video not so smooth because of fps mismatch - my phone used to record 720p video with 30 fps so the game footage was capped to this value and because of this look choppy almost all the time. My real experience was much smoother - for now i have to learn how to give you guys this smoothness in future videos. But sure thing, any video can't reproduce the feeling of it (especially with motion platform). Well, at least it synced properly:D
Nurb GT, 15 ai cars (not all of them are shown during my practice though). Pits not working in rift mode (i thought it was fixed with pp bluriness - dunno pit menu just won't show up) so i did finish my practice in pits
Setting for oculus rather sweet - all at ultra except hi-res mirror & reflections (medium), ppd was set to 1.0 (decided to try pure 4xAA first)
pp filter is Natural (with custom glare so the bug with godrays doesn' affect me:D), looks nice and immersive inside hmd so that's for 1080 gtx was needed:D
btw after 30 min, despite the ambient temp was 22C got lil bit sweaty face - forehead, temporal lobe and noseband (but i have dd wheel here afterall)
Oh and btw don't wonder about resetting view during the video, that's me resetting it:D turned out it needs to be constantly adjusted because of dof rig elevations.
I was using 1.8m hdmi and usb 3.0 extensions btw - not of all of them work even if they match hdmi specs, have tried many of them, besides as I suspect, hdmi extension doesn't work with mini-hdmi port, so because my previous 980gtx has one, the swapping to 1080 just went sooner I expected. The ebay order of Cable Matters hdmi extension became useless though - I fired cv1 up with another just before its arrival.
Anyway, with pp the overall experience is a blast now, even with no working pits, the video I recorded represents only a pale shadow of such astonishing feelings being inside a cockpit, combined with any motion. My friends, I honestly don't regret I spent such amount of funds for all this crap:D it was worth it, the only thing missing is a burnt rubber smell or heated iron/plastic.
    Motion? Check!
    Immersion? Check!
    Direct wheel feeling? Check!
Limited fov aka in a helmet? Check!
    Sweaty face?? Check!!
Guys, I honestly don't know, whether worth it to use oculus without motion platform:D

some photos of finished look (well - till cv2 :D) This was a long way to get this bunch of crap, I was starting with this lol https://www.flickr.com/photos/m3gt2/15611972258/in/album-72157650763435926/ but the passion have made this all

You see, this is a totally new level in terms of forces and input lag. Once you try dd-wheel you will understand the meaning of such price for it.
I had g25, and then t500rs. After the first use of t500rs the previous g25 became a toy for me. After the first use of accuforce the previous t500rs became a toy for me. So this is an evolving. This was totally worth it

unfortuanatly i keep selling my misses n kids but they keep bringing them back within 14 days and get there money back ! lol :)
thank you for the info it sounds like its defo worth it.

@f1iceman absolutely worth it, more to tell, i choose accuforce specifically because of SimCommander4 - and time have told me that i wasn't mistaken - only using SC4 telemetry i got satisfactory ffb settings for me in Assetto Corsa. If i got osw i should be satisfied with what i have e.g. no fine tuning of ffb and other minor issues:)
@stevemontuno thanks, but actually these all really just a costly crap bunched together :D and the dof rig itself is a design of @Radioproffi - he's the one creator who made it happen. I'm very glad i choose full-frame design for my project

For dirt rally more appropriate 2-3dof seat mover i guess due to the nature of the rally game:D to be honest i'm not fond of any rally and don't even have one though. But maybe i will give it a try:)

dirt rally will blow your mind honest its such a great sim game. you just drive the sox of the cars, my fav is the metro 6r4 tbh at min.
cv1 setup right it look sweeeeeet. the speed is mega and the senses are amazing with the motion working.
i run 2dof seat mover n its brilliant i can only imagine 3 or 4 dof with it but the jumps must be wicked when ya whell goes light and heave does its job must feel amazing balls.
always keep an open mind with driving games always worth the try for the costs they are or just get em when the deals are on you might be surprissed one day and like something you did'nt think you would.
what i do now even if others say it bad or good ya never know till you try it out, it cost yes but can be a waste or can be good for the sake of £10 - 30 i will take the gamble lost more on other things in life that were a waste of money .
hope you try it out:) ps your rig will get a good workout in dirt rally dude :)

This looks great. Is it custom made rig, or is it possible to buy it somewhere ?
