    guys...

i will receibe from china all the parts to assamble a prusa i3, probably next week... it will be such a huge task for me.

and... i was wondering if anyone has a design to attach the potentiometers to the motors using a 3d printer?

Ive seen a few over the years now, But am struggling to think of whom it was. I would drop a post in the "which printer do you have" thread, Im sure someone's got a pot mount thats workable.

PS welcome to the world of 3d printing, Im also a rookie, like just got my I3 MK2 Last friday, had it assembled by Saturday evening and was test printing that night.

So far ive made quite a few thing's from Paddle shifter's, Wheel adaptor plates, Kill switch box and some stupid stuff like a 6" tall buddha with Boba Fett head lol. I would study the Slicing program in the coming days to get used to what your going to be doing. There are Tonnnnnnes of options to play with, Dont let it overwhelm you at first.

I currently use Slic3r but also play with Craftware for its time/material calculations, tho i haven't gotten any Craftware prints to work out, they all seem to extrude crazy amounts of material even on the first thin bonding layer, I haven't figured out what setting is causing it, but overall its a nice program, Slic3r has a few limitations that Simplify3d doesn't, but you have to hack that software unless you want to pay up for it. 150$ if i recall.

Slic3r came with my initial driver download, so it would be the most i3 Friendly from what ive gathered, there is a "profile" for Simplify3d for the Prusa i3's on their website.

I've made one. The part is designed to be used with the motor that I have in my sim, but you can try to modify it. In the Potentiometerconnector.zip you'll find 2 stl files. One is the bracket in the photo and the other one is only a tube to connect the potentiometer shaft to the motor shaft.
