    UDP is likely to be less impacted by new patches/releases. Let me know if it works. If pcars and xsim are on the same PC, no specific network settings, just activate UDP. Pcars then send UDP using broadcast.

    I have my motion connected to a #2 pc.
    Anyone knows if the alternative plugin works with Oculus and motion in UDP mode then?
    Anyone tried that? :)
    Or does UDP only work when game manager and game engine is on the same computer?
    I may better be prepared to when I receive Oculus :)

    Not sure if this is a plug-in issue or not, but my windsimulator works fine in practice modes with only one car, but as soon as i start a race with AI it doesn't work at all anymore.

    Simdash produces an error: "session state" invalid.

    Does anyone knows why my gamedash only work in training mode? It stops working in a single race mode. The events seems to be INVALID. Does anyone know a fix for that? tks!

    You're having exactly the same issue as me mate. It seems like nobody knows how fix it or just don't car about pcars anymore, since there have been no replies on my post from almost a month ago.:(

    I have been testing and trying things out and i have narrowed it down to a profile related issue. Yesterday when i tested my windsimulator, magically gamedash worked in the single race mode. I immediately tried a race in the career and this also worked. Here the strange part: I didn't change a thing to get it to work. After a couple hours of racing, suddenly in the career mode i got the "session state" INVALID again and my wind simulator didn't work anymore in the careermode. :confused:

    It still worked in the single player mode. At that time i made a backup of my pcars save game located in F:\steam\userdata\******\234630\local\project cars\profiles folder.

    After playing some races in the single player mode, the windsimulator did not start. When i checked gamedash started to give the "session state" INVALID again.

    When i replaced the default.sav in the F:\steam\userdata\******\234630\local\project cars\profiles folder with the one i backed up before it started to work again, but only in the singleplayer quick races. It really bugs me a lot, because i was just about to dive into the massive single player campaign. So this morning i uninstalled Pcars, deleted all my config files (in mydocuments) and the entire steam pcars profile folder. With a fresh installed pcars and shared memory enabled: IT DID NOT WORK :mad:

    When i put the backedup profile in the profiles folder overwriting the one from the fresh install, simdash worked again. But only in single player races.

    Does anybody have any clue how to fix this or could someone who has gamedash working in the careerraces please upload the savegame so i could try if that might fix my problem.

    To be honest, I never bothered too much about debugging the GameDash data. I'll check, if there can be something improved in the plugin.

    I have been testing and i have found that a low number of laps is the cause why simdash is not working .
    As it turns out simdash needs a minimum of 9 laps in order to work.

    If you choose either a quick or career race that has less than 9 laps in the race session, simdash will produce the "session state INVALID" and will not receive or output any data.

    It's not distance, but pure lap related. For a race on the nords you also need at least 9 laps in order to make simdash work. This also means that california highway and azure coast both do not work with simdash.

    I hope this helps debugging

    I did some further testing and I have narrowed the window down in which simdash works.

    It's 9 - 13 laps
    .

    If you start a race with more or less laps, simdash will see the Session State as INVALID

    Thanks for looking at the problem.

    I just updated the plug-in and repatched the game and it didn't work. With the updated plug-in simdash does not receive any data from the game. All dashes (including the sessionstate) remain at zero.

    @value1, i also found out that setting racelength at 100% also works.

    Did you have time to further investigate this problem?

    Current plugin will soon be irrelevant and redundant. The wait for SimTools 2.0 will be worth it, it has performance improvements that make you rig feel like it got an upgrade.

    Hi !
    Just got my SimTools 2.0 license and got the plugins. One thing coming to me: is this new plugin a UDP one ? It mentions port 4123 but also processes, but I do not the the start button in the profile editor / main section.
    Beside this, do you know when the plugin templates (UDP mainly) will be on-line ? so I can port my UDP plugins :p

    EDIT: obviously it doesnt use UDP as the plugin works with UDP set to off. I also confirm the plugin works with the free Pagani Edition available on Steam.
