just how do you select motors?

    I found these wheelchair motors on eBay uk
    But no mention of the gearing 1/30. 1/60. That I've read all about in the FAQ here.
    Nothing on the labels in the photo . so just how do you know what's suitable?

    OK, so reading here - preferred seems to be 160W 160-200rpm 1:30 ratio 12V

    I just need to find the seller that knows that info of their motors for sale
    (not hopeful)

    I did my calculations based on torque and lever arm lenght. When you have those two you can easily calculate how much weight does it lift. After that you can calculate speed of movement and see if it is enough for you.
