Fixing to start on a 2dof seat sim. Already ordering and receiving parts. Some post I read ,talks about inverting the gearbox. I assume this is to get proper alignment on the tierods . What do I need to do to invert a motor? Can I just flip it over and wire it in reverse or break down the gearbox and flip stuff around? Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but I want to know before welding the mounts to the frame.

With the commonly used big gear motors you can turn the shaft around after opening up the gearbox, though you don't have to, the will work fine as they are, just make the brackets to suit.

Yup I did this last night. Just put the gearbox back on the motor before tightening them back up as the little rubber dampeners can be a pain to line up lol.

just ordered my motors pgsaw 25:1 ,180 rpm. They have hollowed shaft outputs. Can I just "reverse" the threaded rod on one of them, or will this mess something up?

You can use the 25:1s as is and just allow a slight design motor mount location to fit the slight left/right difference where the hallow shaft tube protrudes one side.

Or you can split the gearbox and turn the gear over in one of the boxes, so there is a left and right box.

Pop the box open and flip the gear, its easy peezy to do and will save having to worry about spacing them properly.

Ok,thanks , I don't know why it is intimidating me so much. I put a turbo on my car no problem. Guess I'll break one apart when it comes in.

If the Bearing is Sticky in the case, Just hold it flat/level and tap on the Axle shaft with a hammer, It will pop out. One of my boxes is slighly tighter than the other's and i VERY much need to tap it with a hammer, The bearing Race tolerance is rather tight on some.
