It is hard to say what you may have done wrong without pictures of all settings and wiring.

Hi, I don't think that the poti causes the issue. You didn't wire the control pins so the poti does nothing. There could be more reasons, first the MMs were DOA or the PSU is defective or the polarity was changed by accident.

ok, but honestly you cannot burn the MMs on the 5V line. So the issue is somewhere else.

I swapped psu and mm are running the only problem now is trying to find some that are not faulty out of the 2 I tried are both out putting less than 12v
The first one was 4v on both sides and the other was 5v I have more on the way today so maybe I'll have better luck with those thanks for the help

Obviously DOA. If you ordered from a serious vendor/dealer money is back guaranteed.

Question once you fin good ones what kind of life span have you been getting out them with keeping them cool I plan to use 2 dual boards per motor I know different set ups and settings will vary life span just curious tho cause this seems to be a good set up for as bang for your buck

My MMs are still working after more than 2 years of excessive driving. If they work (from the very first beginning) they will not fail (mostly lol).
