Anyone have any ideas what is best for the rift camera mount? Should it mounted on the seat or floor?

    Both can work.

For large axis movement sims like the 6DOF rigs mount the Rift camera on the rig, just make sure you minimise vibration.

For really harsh racing sims with lots of vibration but short axis movements you can mount the Rift camera off the rig. You won't notice the lack of motion cancellation in a really fast race oriented sim with typically short axis movements.

Thanks. Mine is going to be a shoulder mount rig with 2sof. Hopefully 3 soon. I'm not sure how much movement I'll have seeing as I'm not done yet.

I'm going to start my build thread soon.

I'm going to be trying a few different camera mounts with different types of padding to mount the camera to the rig. I've got springs, cushions, different foams, rubber shock absorbers, suction clamps, and rubber padded clamps to try out. I'm positive I can find a cheap and simple solution for anyone looking to mount the camera on rig.

Defiantly. I will. Unfortunately, no Rift until the end of June. :(
