I have been busy!

I just finished my last mods to my R'n'R.

MODS:
-made a larger the base-plate using thicker steel!

-reinforced the arms and the pivotpoint of the X-axis!

-made a new pedal-arm for the footrest

-exchanged the original cylinders used on the X-axis for one SMC cylinder!

-painted all the blank steel!
-installed my new SMC valveblock

-exhanged the 24 VDC 750 ma adaptor of the Momo FFB Red with a 30
VDC 1500 ma.
-installed USB 2.0 HUB onto the chair
-wired and taped everything
-changed front-speaker mounting positions


-The making of the 10 turns extension-controller is until now a big failure!!
-the reel is already machined out of aluminium but for now is seems impossible to align the Potentio + reel + bearing in one housing.
Somehow it doesn't line up properly so I ended up with cracking the housing of the potentio! :cry:

I used to built RC-models in the past so i went through some old parts!
I found a Bowden-cable and did my best to implement it on the Y-axecontroller!


Yesterday evening everything was finished and the setup of the Bowden-cable looks very steady!!

in your machine . en the block of valves haves in the picture un ask.
what thas namber 1 . silencer?
and number 2 . as it is called? . is necessary this piece?

1= exhaust valves noise/pulse damper
2= central valve body block.

With this setup you have 1 air input for all the 4 valves and 2 exhaust for all 4 valves.

I think it's nice and clean.

This weekend I modded the pots (used the original 50 Kohms) of the RNR-board. Connected them directly to pin 2 + 3 of IC3 (http://www.x-simulator.de/de/hardware/a ... -poti.html).

It seems to be faster and more precise!! still it's not all I want.
Futhermore I will try do make the 3 speed / 4 valves setup !
I'll keep you informed !!.

Like Egoexpress i would like to go Frex-style !
Using the nice aluminium-profil systems! so it's easier to move pivot-points etc.!

It's fine by my wife , only first the Old Thing out !
and I have to be honest , for the space it's better !!

As you know , I was here from the beginning.
With GTR / GTR-2 , Race'07 & Rfactor i definativly go for race setups.

FSX gives to much stress on my P4-system (3,2 GHZ / 6800U AGP) and I don't want to upgrade for now just for FSX.

I 'll post this weekend in Buy/Sell forum!

Modifications:
-enlarged the base
-new chairframe with racechair
-enforcements of all the the arms
-new SMC cilinders (total of 4x , with currently 3 used)
-SMC controlvalves (4x 5/3 centre closed) on 1 backplane
-Velleman USB controlboard (including all the mods) connected to
-Velleman relaisboard
-movementcontrol upgraded to bowdencables on original potis
-including the 17 CRT screen
-Also with the 2 original cylinders
-the original rnr-board (partly demolished for parts)
-and original chair

Can you help me?

Can you share image of your detailed outline of the connections?

from the Velleman USB controlboard to Velleman relaisboard, to valves and to cilinders?

Sorry man, modified-simulator-for-sale-t755.html , have sold my Simulator.

Currently have a real FREX!.
