    Hi all

Love the site lots of info here.

I'm Just starting out with motion. Im an electrician and built a few OSW's etc. So i thought id try my hand at a motion rig.

I Live in the middle on nowhere so I have not had a chance to try any motion rigs. Im currently reading up to help decide what to build. Im only interesting in useing it for Racing Sims. My thoughts are a 2Dof chassis mover with traction loss.

Looking forward to talking to you all about it

    Thanks Troy

Welcome @Troy, nice to see another fellow Aussie join the motion sim fold.

You will find the community here gives freely give of their time and expertise.

A 2DOF is a great place to start and can be extended later to include things like traction loss and heave, have a look at existing member builds, that may help you refine your own project: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

You will find plenty to get you started in the FAQs, from design software, dimension of sims, to PSUs, pots, motors, JRKs, Arduinos and Motor Monsters and more: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

If something sounds odd then look it up in the glossary: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Good luck with your project.

Hello everyone, I just joined. I don't have nor am currently planning to build a motion simulator as they are out of my price range, but I do have a bass transducer I want to use with the xsimulator software. I want to start getting into sim racing now that I have an Oculus rift and most of my wheel parts should be here at the end of the week (I hope!).
