    Hi.
As you can put dead zone to the potentiometer ?

    hello,

first of all, why would you like to have a dead zone? we are looking for reactivity and precision...
    can you describe your problem?
is it on the whole range?
if you have some jitter, you should try to use shielded wires, better pots (cermet), sturdy pot mounts, before adding a dead zone.

In the code, there is a parameter called "Tol", you can increase it if the jitter is on the whole range. But it's the last option (after the action listed before).

    yours

when sitting , you make a move for any reason , for example , take the mouse, etc ... , vibrations are generated in the motomonster .
this is because my engine ( Lanos Toyota ) have a small gap and that gap makes a little move potentiometers

Yes, there is gap in your gear motor... that's not good but that doesn't explain all.
Maybe the lever is too long and the motor cannot withstand the force

You should consider to change motor maybe ?
    hope you'll be fine :)

What is your problem in this video? Maybe that is the swing of your motor.

Hi, my name is Johan. I tried to build using this concept but do you guys have the dynamic equation to analyze the movement of the chair? I used this as my thesis project so anyone please if you can help me. Thanks...

    Hi! Welcome here :)
What is exactly your thesis subject?

What is your field of study?

The movement of the chair depends on the characteristic of the motors, the inertia of the suspended mass, the arduino code that "translates" simtools data to motion.

Most of the projects here are diy. Built on the go.

Many of us have done some rough calculations to estimate motor power needed and determine the overall movement of the seat.

Other than that I don't think that you can find more detailed info.

My thesis subject is Designing and Constructing A Car Simulator Case: Electrical and Motion Control. I am a mechatronics engineering student at Swiss German University (SGU) Tangerang, Indonesia. It will help me a lot if I could get the dynamics motions for the simulator since I need it to be able to analyze the movement of the simulator before having it built. I have tried to design my own dynamic equation but it didn't make sense when I tried to make the state-space model of it. Thank you....

hey fellas may some one can help me, i have a almost done my simulator i use ard e 2 wipers, every thing works, but im having my motor internal coil being burned after some tiime, you guys may have some idea of why its happening?

    bad news...

the weight was probably too high... and lever length too long
in these cases, the motor heated too much and when wire insulation coating has worn down, you got a short-circuit...
was it a seat-mover or a full plateform? what was the lever length?

or a current spike: did you have some fuses or not?

hey racing mat well its a full plataform.. i have used reductions like 2 cm to 19cm it was to be easy with a reduction like this dont you think?

i dont use fuses in the motor, i have some bipolar capacitors in the motors terminals. to help absorb the spikes
man im sad looool should i use fuse? by the reductions being big the motors were to drive it easy ;/

you tried with 19cm long levers??! that's really ambitious (if not crazy ;))
before burning, did you noticed high temperatures?
how long did you use your simulator before burning?

fuses would have been useful only if the motors went to stall

Well, not very high temperature, lets say 10 min, to feel a smell of burning coil, but i was looking to the internal gnd isolation, i have just cuted the gnd and leave like this, in the FAQ the guy after cut the gnd from the case he solder another wire....
So im very curios withougt the gnd in the coil they burn??

Hot in 10 minutes, the motor is under too much constraints...

I don't think ground is related to burning coil...
or maybe a short-circuit somwhere inside?

    Can you post pictures?

Sorry, I want to ask about arduino code and monster motoshield VNH2SP30.
    /* VNH2SP30 pin definitions*/
    int inApin[2] = {7, 4}; // INA: Clockwise input

What is 7 and 4? Is it pin 7 in motorshield and 4 in arduino? How to turn the motor shield on? I have tried to connect the 5.5V and ground to the arduino but nothing happened. I also have tried to connect the input for motors to the battery and nothing happened. The motorshield still off. What should I do?

Hey racingmat im gonna make some changes today and im gonna use your firmware.. just for curiosity the frequence that the firmware uses can drastic affect the motors?
For exemple using high frequence etc....
