    Hi everybody..

Will be posting my progress in here of my 2dof motion system.

I have made my rig myself inspired by the Visionracer VR3.

Rebuild my Fanatec CSW V1 wheel with the aircooled Bühler motor upgrade.
WOW.. What a difference compared to the stock CSW wheel..

Have a homemade carbonshifter with an attached display which measures the temperature of the FBB motors.

I have got a lot of the parts done for my motion..

I have chosen Arduino woth 2x30a PSU and wiper motors.
So just looking around at the forum so I can get some coins to get a plugin so i can try to make a test of my setup before essembling it :)

    Regards Simon

    Beautiful craftsmanship :thumbs

I would be very interested in more details about the Fanatec wheel mod and custom shifter.

    Thanks alot @noorbeast ;)

I have attached pictures of the wheel and shifter.

    Regarding the Fanatec wheel mod..
The Bühler motors are originally made to vending machines and is quality motors..
They are quite big compared to the stock motors.
So the oroginally pcb has been spaced out so there are room enough for the bigger motors.
There are 6mm air connections so air is being pressed in the front of the motor and pushed out of the back. So they are being cooled in the inside of the motor which is very effective.

The original CSW v1 wheel has about 5.5nm of power.
The CSW V2 base has about 7nm of power.

With the Bühler motors there are about 12nm of power and you can thriugh the psu go to 36volt and get +13nm.
BUT tje standard Bühler is more than enough for me.
I have bought from a guy in the states.
    Worth every penny :)
Regarding the shifter.. It is a copy if the Manu Factory SSH 14 shifter. But made in 2mm carbon plates and stainless steel.
In the sides there a a machanical part woth springs so I can adjust how "hard" you are going to push to up or downshift. Very happy with it. Feels very natural :)

    Hi Simon!

Nice to see what you have done :thumbs

Can you give us the link to your Hbridge? in order to check its specs

    Thanks a lot @RacingMat ;)

My H bridge is this model:

Max 43A BTS7960B DC Motor Controller

(I have attached a picture of it)

Im just wondering as it only has an enable terminal and not an PWM

Have attached another picture of the same H bridge in another setup where it is named enable/PWM.

But I'm a bit worried as the drawing has some faults of the wiring. So not sure if it is correct.

Thanks a lot of taking you the time to look at it. Means a lot to me :)

    Regards Simon

The BTS7960B and BTN7971B are pretty much identical chips with identical pin outs and timings, made by the same companies.
The difference is pretty much maximum current ratings.

To feed the chips their signals, you see the 74LS244, identical between the boards. The same code will work with either,
with the slight advantage going to the 7971 in that it can handle a bit more current before giving up the smoke.
