Just for anyone who is interested, I had removed two chips from the MMs (with a heat gun) to see if they had been soldered (this one did not have a gap that I could see but measured total U/S), the one on the left I think I had flowed myself when removing it, so purposely only heated the right one enough to remove the pins and yes, not soldered at all. Still the original solder pads on the board . So the one on the left is how it should be, with the one on the right showing how it was manufactured ...:sos @SilentChill will try and not pollute your thread too much, but I think it is good to have this information in one place - Maybe its own thread, so people could find it in a search - sticky even with the costs/frustration involved:think?

Thtas terrible again mate such poor quality and all the ones coming from China are like this. I bet anyone who needs to get some proper AMPs flowing through will struggle as they will just shutdown

Yes I agree @SeatTime , who can move posts and put them all into a MonsterMoto thread ??

    Hello,
this looks like realy bad quality. :( But looks like a simple reflow can solve this Problem.
I have a selfmade reflow station for xbox and ps3. With that i have reflowed many consoles for friends with good success rate.
If anyone is interested you can contact me via PM.

I don't wan't to make any profit i just want to help.

Thankyou @tombo thats very kind, however shipping costs and hassle for you is just not worth it for what they actually cost. Although I will keep you in mind if I start making too many mistakes when I start on my next batch.

Congrats on the refund. I recently experienced some terrible treatment from united airlines customer service and ended up losing that battle. I'm glad you came out ahead.

    Mr. greetings

Nice to talk to you, I am Edson and I live in Brazil.
First I would like to register this otimo the detailing and project development posts.
My contact is about the engines, can pass the specifications, which are usually used and at what cost, because here I find nothing similar and also confirm that the source is Dell datacenter servers?

    grateful

Are you going to make video of the test? In case there is any blue smoke coming out of them?

    Best luck!

old ones are clones and new are copies. what i mean is that some Chinese want to copy the brand too (clones) except the patent and some copy the patent only(copies).
i prefer to buy copies(not only MM). i have seen that they are more quality than clones.

Well, if you look at things using baseball terms you are now batting over 500, which is damned good! :D Using modern electronics terms however, that is still abysmal. But good luck getting the 12 needed all working properly! :popcorn

Awesome, if it wasnt for the MM issues you would have made this build look easy.

does the addition of heave add as much to the experience as you had hoped? sure looks like it.

Yeah its really good you get all the movements. I cant describe how good it is even though it doesnt move that much but when you go over a jump and when you land and bounce back up its just amazing.

Cant wait to try more over the weekend. I'm like a pig in sh!t :)
