Hello DIYers. I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself and DIYSim here in the forums. I have been sim racing and flying for about a decade now and recently signed up with DIYSim to help them with there customer relations.

Whether your goal is to build a full motion flight simulation cockpit with all SIX Degrees of Freedom (6DOF) or find plans to build a FULL MOTION racing simulation cockpit with anywhere from ONE Degree of Freedom all the way up to SIX, we have the products, plans, and resources to help you make it happen.

Our DIYSim brand is backed by one of the most innovative Sim building organizations in the world. SimCraft creates driver, in the loop, simulators with proper kinetics and vehicle dynamics for motion simulation, a technology that is unique to SimCraft and which accurately recreates high speed vehicle dynamics. SimCraft simulator systems enable drivers to develop and enhance their car control skills, efficiently and effectively, any track, any car, any day, all day.

Racing and Flight Simulator Cockpits come in all shapes and sizes, but not all motion simulation technology is built the same. If you have a custom design or want something off the shelf, DIYSim has it all. Our racing and flight sim design and engineering experts can build anything you desire.

From Components, to Custom Designs, to Plug and Play Solutions, we have it all. Let me know If I can answer any questions you may have.

You have a very complete list of products: actuators, chassis and softwares... even if the prices are for professionals

Can you tell us more about Advanced Closed Loop – High Force (NEMA34) versus SCN5?
it's more than 5 times more expensive: it could be very interesting to see a comparative chart (speed/load)

Here is a Quick Overview of each part. If you are looking for something specific please be sure to let me know.

Advanced Close Loop - HIGH FORCE

This HIGH FORCE series actuator is packaged by SimCraft and offers a high speed/high thrust combination in a single package. Speeds to 600 mm/s and force to 350 lbs / 159 kg. The blend of Fastech precision and Bimba heft creates a high performance, closed loop, electromechanical actuator capable of managing lots of mass, at high speeds, with pinpoint accuracy.

    Diadic SN6 - Medium Force

This MEDIUM FORCE Dyadic actuator offers a robust electromechanical actuator and controller solution. Speeds to 200 mm/s and force to 88 lbs / 40 kg.

Dyadic has developed the linear actuator drive mechanism such that the screw and nut are optimized for high accuracy, long life and low cost. This actuator can be configured in multiple stroke lengths for customized motion integration.

And you mentioned pricing. If you compare our pricing with our competitor selling the SN6 actuator you will find our pricing is less. And don't forget the exclusive promo code: sap2off. Let me know if you are looking for more information.

... agree, for us DIY "standard" sim builder this really stunning actuator is way too expensive. NTL the specs are pretty impressive.

Nice stuff - more options for people to consider. For everyone's info, here are the speed/load graphs for an SCN-5 & SCN-6 - note that the specified load on the Heading/graphs is not for a vertical lift (see 'Push Mode' in specs Eg. Max 7.1Kg for '10Kg' SCN-5 and 45.9Kg for the '66Kg' SCN-6 at 0 mm/Sec). It would be interesting to see the graphs for the 'High Force' actuator if they are available.

I totally agree that the Advance Closed Loop - High Force actuators aren't intended for the enthusiast diyer. They are meant for larger applications. This doesn't mean that it can not be used. They are insane and are massive.

We mostly use and recommend the SN6. We found that the motion is more precise and for the minimal price difference its worth going to it. We use the SN6 in almost all of our professional Apex units as well as the Vertex units.
