    Hi everyone,
    I would like to build a 2 Dof pneumatic simulator. I used the following pneumatic cylinders:

    but I need advice, I'll be controlled via arduino with this board:

    When should I use the Arduino, so what code to insert?
    And even I would like to ask what the valves used to control pneumatic cylinders?

    The board you want to drive with Arduino have relays: ON/OFF.

    No progressive speed.

    Do you think it will be okay for your use?

    I worry about sound noise level. In my shop have more pneumatic cylinder. Very loud.

    I have 3 inches cylinder and airpump is 2HP 110 lites. Only 13 times open air to cylinder my pump will work again for 2 minutes.

    how do you want to actuate forward and reverse with a single relay?

    I suppose that you intent to use several relays per actuator (thrust, exhaust... 4 relays?)
    Before writing any arduino code, you have to sketch the system: actuator, valves, exhausts, relays...

    we cannot guess what you have in mind ;)

    Pneumatic cylinders normally have two air inlets - one to drive the actuator up - one to drive it down. Its going to become quite noisy, especially if your after small quick movements as required for a sim.

    Ok some quesion. In two air inlet system. Have air drain or loss? In my cnc machine have two inlets when pnematic work. Air drain every time.
