The last bid this week. I am very glad that I got my hands on this nice seat on ricardo (swiss "ebay"). My current seat weights ~18kg and the new one ~8kg. The new seat has a head protection, not that I could damage my head (brain is already damaged), but the left and right view are now rather limited, which gives more immersion.

The very last order :) I have read so many information about button boxes and buying or DIY, but at least I had to realize it would be hard to top the P1 box from Derek Speare Design:
P1 - 6-two way toggles, 4 pushbuttons, 4-two way rotary encoders, 1 FVS Lighted Button - 99.75 USD, shipping included! Shipping from US to EU is very expensive.
I like the finish and nice design, the box is not too big but has all what I need.
When all is delivered and build together I will post some photos.

    Nice @Pit :)

Think you need to change the title of the thread to "Finished but still upgrading". Or something along those lines lol

Ok, I change it to: When the rig is finished I am on the rocks or dead. Thank you @bsft for consolation :)

Hi guys, my T500RS (probably the board) was BLOOOOOWN today. :( Thrustmaster is discussing at the moment what to do, perhaps I will get a new board. Anyway, nice support and they are trying to solve the issue soon

Sorry to hear that @Pit. I hope it gets resolved quickly.

If there is an upside then you now have a bit more time for those finishing touches you have planned.

already busy work in progress ;) The new seat is insane, now the shoulders are so close to the seat that every motion shakes "better" than before. I am waiting now for a seat console, I did only a makeshift.

CORRRRECTION, the wheel did not blow away...there is an issue between the Pedals and the wheel, after unconnecting the pedals from the wheel and connecting to the PC it was working again. Reconnecting the pedals to the wheels works, too. So I wait for the response of the Thrustmaster support why this happend and why (an other issue) the gas pedal (RZ axis) is only working between 50% and 100%.

CORRRRECTION, after all and x mails later the (one pedal related) board is damaged and has to be replaced. If someone is interested, I will open the case legitimated by Thrustmaster and take some photos. Once upon the time perhaps I will replace the Buehler motor by a stronger one, so the opportunity by getting a deeper look inside is greatly welcome. NTL I am very glad with the wheel at the moment, but you know, nobody knows what happens in future ;)

PS: an other necessary hardware upgrade: Sparco mounting for the seat. This would be hard to do by DIY for the few bucks so I bought it. This will give the rig a more professional look and will cover up all my faults and mistakes around the seat ;P

As builders we know all the compromises and slips we make along the way, but others tend to not to notice that much because they appreciate the whole project. Your sim is already impressive @Pit and is only enhanced with additions such as the Sparco seat and rails.

Update, I have issues with my wife :p She is going crazy because of the noise of tracion loss (which I can understand it is really loud, too loud). While the other winches are very moderate and not loud, the third (from an other vendor) is crying like a buzzsaw so I decided to buy one of the famous 12v gear motors from ebay http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Motion-Con...=2347907&_sid=266253021&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322. Consequently I have to redesign the TL, but I make all efforts for my wife that she stays happy (with the simulator) :) :)

Your a wise man @Pit, keep the wife happy and please put up a video of the new motor in action when you finish your upgrade.
