    Hi,
I have finished and tested my home made 2DOF driving simulator.

You can see all images that finally got me here at https://imageshack.com/a/WfAz/1

I use SMC3Utils v0.64 with SimTools GameEngine and works great.

Excellent, another running sim. Looks well built:cheers. Were the dampeners front and back necessary?

Nice rig, IMO the "lateral rocking" is a little too much.

True @Pit , and we all set motion to how we like it.
It does take time to get a motion profile right, after nearly 4 years I still fiddle and make changes.

There are because i needed my sim to be balanced and i couldn't do it without them.

Yes i know. I increased the lateral force for more effect. It isnt correct?

Hi @spartan300, nice movement you have there. @Pit is only giving his opinion, its not that the motion isn't correct.
If it feel right to you, and your happy with it, then it is correct. Try playing with the profile and see if you can improve what you feel. Its all about experimentation, and we all want something different.

Viewing and feeling can be different, that is true, so I passed only a remark. What I want to say: it seems that the lateral shaking does not reflect the real feedback of a car within the simulation. The shaking gives you more action, but IMO the turns are softer and smoother as they should be (harder).

aaa i see. you're right. I dont know why is that happening. It seems that the RBrally has more brutal movment.
I will make a video trying LFS in which the movment is more smooth and correct.
Does anyone play RBR, so that he can see if the plugin has some problems or its just my setting.
By the way, Thank you all for you good words.:grin:grin:grin

rally is usually more "throw " around due to the nature of the driving. While tarmac racing is usually softer cornering.

Again just my opinion. I'm not a fan of balancing a rig with dampers, as it can cause tracking issues. But if it feels fine to you then that is OK - its your rig.

You are correct. That is my opinion too. But you see when i started building my sim i had first made the upper part just to have something to seat and play rally. The idea of putting motion came later, so it was hard to make the correct balance.
Iam planing a new one starting this time from the motion platform and then ajusting the seat and wheel.;)

    vedi foto:

Hello @spartan300 if you ask me ... you did a good job:thumbs there is only one thing to fix, according to me ... watching your video you can see that movement right left side that makes the structure ... you do not bother you? it also threatens to loosen the swivel joint with time. I do to remedy that problem I put 2 arms stabilizers in order to have all movements except oscillazzione side left and right.
