Anyone that does not have enough coins to get the updated plugins can email me a copy of the old plugin and I will send them a copy of the new one. :)

PM me for my email address.

I figured that having people send me a copy of the old plugin would verify that they had indeed "played the game" so it should not be a problem. It is not like I am giving them a free pass ;)

First of all this is very generous from your part.

One thing I would like to say because this is why I don't like the coin system as it is right now.
I have to spent another 250 coins (because my balance is 452) for only one updated file that I already purchased.

Shouldn't it automaticly be free of charge for people who already had bought the plugin ?

    I'm not nagging just a question ?

I do not agree with the coin system either but I do understand the desire to have something that encourages participation and even revenue that supports the website and further development.

Perhaps we should start a new thread, in the proper location, about this topic? I agree with you completely that updated plugins should be a free download but I have no idea how it could be easily implemented.

There isn't any reason they should need to email you an old plugin though! It hasn't been stated anywhere to my knowledge that this is not allowed. After all they are "free". The coin systems stated use was not to have to "buy" things. It was to increase traffic and get new members to participate. If they are asking you to send them a plugin, this is participation as far as I'm concerned! Anyway, thanks for helping folks out @Historiker ! :thumbs

If time is too precious for people to actively read or post then there is the 3rd option to buy a DL package. This money goes *all* into keeping this site up. I'm not working with cracks but I own the programs I write plugins for (Σ it up…). What I got from that is the satisfaction of supporting the community and I got some nice feedback.

Another approach is that I stop updating plugins or creating new ones and you won't be concerned about downloading new plugins.

I suppose we all should read, post and pay (to support the forum at least) :) At the same time I wish to thank you @value1 the hard work greatly contributed to the user of the community.

I perfectly understand it takes money to keep this site up and running and it must be made somehow! I don't have any problems with that! My point of view though is that if SimTools has already been promised to be free, then it would be somewhat underhanded from my perspective if it was changed now. And in some ways it has already from what is was a few months ago. I thought that was one of the reasons for creating SimTools in the first place, besides not requiring an internet connection! The software offered here before SimTools was free in every respect so I thought this was what was going to be offered again here with the new software! Wasn't this part of the reason for the split with x-sim in the first place? With the old software you didn't even need to be a member to download it and it was free to use commercially also!
As far as income for the site goes, I have been around for quite some time now, and while I haven't necessarily been everywhere on this site yet, I have yet to see a donate button anywhere (other than buying coins I guess)? I think this would be the better way to start raising funds before forcing people to either post for days to get enough coins, spam, or have to pay money when it was promised to be free. Are there problems with the site having enough funds to pay the bills? No one has asked for donations for this purpose if it is needed. Let the community know if this is the case and we will help!

Also, although I've said it before, I can't thank you enough for all you're efforts and what you "give" to the community @value1 !

    Great work !
But only 134 coins :( and I don't want to spam every threads :/
30€/month for the donwload package......... Cone on, this is the price for my internet connexion. I think this is expensive.
I like to help (pay) for leagues where I drive. Helping community is something that I agree with but 30€/month is not acceptable.
Switching from FREE to 95€/year is a big gap. Let me help you with 20 or 15€ per year and get access to donwload section. You'll have more support from lot of guys this way.

I'm not sure people realise... you get points for "reading" posts. Not sure the details, I think they need to be new posts.

Theres also option available to transfer / give some money to other user, so if someone has a lot of them ask him if he is willing to give some, what's 250 coins between friends? :)

But in my opinion sharing would be fair between users who have been around for some time, 'green' users should still earn some coins and get social first.

Great plugin after the update but...

I am participating in the VEC championship with RARE Endurance Team on the 24 of Le Mans on 7 june 2014.
The Le Mans track feels great with Simtools (best I ever had) except one point on the track and that is the last chicane before start finish.

Sometimes, not all the time, when I drive over the right curb my seat will lean completely to the left and stay there for about half a second. This is very annoying because I'm still hangin to the left when driving on to the finish line.

I tried to lower the sway and roll setting without any effect. I also tried the axis limiting length setting without effect.
I dont want to change to much because the rest of the track feels absolutely phenomenal.

Anybody got a clue what to adjust to get rid of this unwanted movement ?

Simtools is without a doubt the best simulator software ever :thumbs

If the rest of the track feels ok... I would guess a "bug" in this part of the track. It is the virtual-lm Version?

Just my thoughts. In fact it is the latest vlm 1.0 version released last week.
Only strange thing is that it doesn't happens every lap, so with a bug in track it should happen every lap ?.
