Thanks very much:) I must admit I have been sinking a whole lot of time into a couple of other very involved projects so I have not been developing my sim chassis as much as I would have wanted but the other projects are nearly finished and are really just stepping stones to my Sim racing dreams so ill keep you guys posted. Ps I have actually in the last 24hrs really had a few pieces of my plans do a 360 degree spin and im actually really going to ramp up my sim chassis;)

Wicked I want a go please.
Just a quick note on placing your centre pivot, take in mind that the frame will not be balanced because of the shifter off the side, this can be counter balanced by equal weight of moving the centre a little closer to the side where the shifter is, balance is the key to a nice moving sim, specially if involving 12v.

    But yes I want a go !!!!

G'day Historiker. It's a native fish to this called the Murray cod and is from the Murray River which I live next to. How's the house?

Sorry, I just noticed that it is listed under occupation on your info to the left. I should have seen that before asking.

The house is great, my wife is very happy but we both miss the farm for some reason. For my part that is rather unexpected; I never thought I would miss the constant upkeep and work.

Glad to see you back into the hobby; I look forward to seeing your motion pit in action.

That's a shame your missing the farm a little bit! Hopefully those feelings shall pass in time. I'm glad the new house is going well! It is a great feeling to be able to get some time on my sim sled:) I've actually decided to go the ac motor 6dof platform as I am sure as soon as . Had finished the dc motor sled that I would need to build a 6dof and also my brother works for a airport and is in the process of obtaining his pilots licence, so as I have been building my own cnc's I am very comfortable with vfd and ac so I'm just going to go with the big frame! Alot more work but when finished it should be very useful and longevity will out way the cost and time investment.
