    Yes, I still use my original Keda 6364 motors in my sim - and I am super happy with them now.

    The other motors I had ordered for testing (a turnigy 6364, 190 kv and a 6374, 140kv arrived, but didnt test them so far.

    the reason I asked if you had received is because I ordered mine back in April and I am still waiting. so frustrating I've had the actuators their ready to have the motor put in for months but this has really held me up.

    this is not the larger update I promised, but something I really want to share with you!! This is my new sub-project I started due to the great work of @Historiker with his rudder pedals project. I felt in love with the design of his pedals and decided to print one myself. My Prusa-printer did an extraordinary good job and now I can hold the pedals in my hand - it feels like holding the hand of a girlfriend when I was young.... soooo nice

    I used the original Prusa-PETG and I think its the same that you used for your universal joints. Yes - I follwed your recommendation .

    Hi all!
    Long time passed since the last update....
    I was buisy with renewing my floor and painting my home.....lot, lot of work!

    So time to share some modifications of my sim, I made some months ago.
    This was adding a car dashboard (?) and seat belts.

    The dashboard is made of 6mm plywood.
    The 5 parts are toothed and glued together to improve stability.
    The cover is made of a thin layer fleece (I think it was 5mm) and synthetic lather as top cover. The haptic is like in a luxury- car :).

    The seat belts are from OMP. I love the quality and can highly reccomend them.

    yes it is powder coating. Since this summer I have access to a makerspace nearby Munich (www.maker-space.de).
    Yes....makers dreams came true.. :). They have all the machines you would need to build everything. From water-jet-cutting to powder coating, WIG- welding, lathe, CNC-milling, all kind of wood-working, electronic making and measure stuff, sewing, and so on......
    BUT! Its not cheap to make the trainings to get access to the sometimes complex machines. I am in the lucky situation that I need this also for my job and dont have to pay for this.

    I have a question about actuator rotation in yaw, how do you compensate for the difference in real rotation and the reading of encoder?

    I am not 100% sure that I understand you correctly.
    Do you mean, that the piston rod is not fixed in rotation? If yes, this is not a problem at all. Its not noticeable and has not to be compensated :)

    Yes I ment that, in spesific I mean that full rotation of motor is not always same as full linear movement that one full rotation should make, when the piston is rotating because of the fixed joints in lower and upper end of actuator.

    Hi Peter,
    I really love your clean actuator design. But there are things i don't understand.
    1. What kind of "anti wobble" solution are you using? Is there just a bearing at the end of your ballscrew? Or is it a peace of plastic?
    2. What kind of guide do you use in the tube (between the piece holding the ballbearing nut and the tube) and what kind of guide to you use between the pushrod and the endpiece of your actuator?
    Would like to here from you. By the way, is there a reason your cad model isn't online anymore?

    My upper ballscrew guide is made from plastic (POM). Its solid and with only little tolerance to the aluminium pipe. Also all the other parts you asked for are made from POM and run directly on the raw aluminium with little grease.
    Last weekend I dismanteled one actuator to check for wear, but inside everything looked like new - after lot of runtime.
    Regarding my CAD- files. I am helping everybody with specific questions, but decided not to make my whole work public. Hope you will understand this.

    Thank you for your reply. Regarding the CAD files i was just curious. I am also building linear actuators at the moment using aluminum square tubes and POM. It's the first time im working with POM and I start to realy love it! I was not sure if POM will last for a long time in use, but i'm glad to here you made the experience it does :).

    Hi all!
    Again after long time of silence I want to show you some of my insights regarding noise reduction.
    During my upgrade from 1605 ballscrews to 1610 ballscrews, I tryed and implemented some noise reduction measures at the piston-rod:
    a) I added two stripes of 2mm thin vibration damping mat to the inside of my piston-rod. I found the two stripes are enough and more doesnt perform much better.
    It is important to have a clean surface for good adhesion!

    b) I added two noise foam pieces between my inner and outer piston-rod.
    Assebly is a littl tricky, but worth the work.

    So finally I had the following improvements:
    Left piston-rod => no measures
    Middle piston-rod => measure a)
    Right piston-rod => measure a) and b

    (edit: I dont know why there is a delay between video and sound! - This is the original file from my mobile-phone)
