I got on the HP Reverb G2 pre-order bandwagon last night also! I'm really looking forward to this one as my CV1 sde is getting old for me after several yrs of basically using it in racing games.
Racing in vr was a game changer for me as the emersion was so real I couldn't go back to using monitors.
Hope my order # isn't any indication as to how many are in front of me because it's 8 digit long and begins with a 6....I could be waiting awhile if it is!:think

It is nice, but unfortunately my IPD (60mm) is too small for a really clear image in both eyes at the same time. Still better then anything else that I have used, but frustrating when I know it could be even better . Also, I only have a 1080Ti, so cannot take advantage of all this FOV/pixels on many games at a decent frame rate.

My IPD is 66mm, so a bit fortunate in that regard. A wide FOV wold be great, but truth be told, after a CV1 and now a Rift S, it still blows my mind. I used to fly commercially (C206 S/E bug smasher), so flying in VR still scratches all my itches. Using a 1080, does everything I need it to.....for now....

30-series to the rescue in October, even the 3070 is faster than the RTX 2080 Ti, the 3090 is a pure brute ;)

Yes. Im thinking the 3080 will pair nicely with the Reverb G2 that I have on pre-order. Im waiting to see what big Navi has to offer before upgrading my GPU though

For me it's been 8yrs since my last pc build so I'm over due for new rig...waiting to see what AMD has to offer 1st... although I've always used Intel. Not sure I can make the switch at this point in time, but you never know. Needs to be something extremely special.
Also what's the availability and at what prices are we going to find with the 30 series cards at launch. Something tells me the prices will be inflated 10-30%, and the 1st batches are gonna go fast!

noorbeast, Sorry about straying off topic ^
I don't think we'll be able to find any of the 3070 or 3080 cards selling at those base prices for quite awhile, supply & demand. But then again, you never know! Guess we'll find out shortly though, just 10 more days to go for the 3080.:popcorn

I got this email from HP today.

HP has announced that they will begin shipping HP Reverb G2 units in November. Deliveries will be prioritized based on your order date.

If you placed your order before September 24, 2020, you can expect to receive your headset in November. Due to high demand, customers who place their orders after this date will receive delivery as early as December.
