I am planning to build a 2dof platform. I'm in doubt which wiper motor to choose:

engine 01: nominal torque of 8nm and maximum torque of 50nm and 30RPM

engine 02: nominal torque of 10nm and maximum torque of 35nm and 80RPM.

    Thanks

Keep in mind wiper motors need plenty of inherent design leverage, as they are not particularly powerful, most also need ground isolation.

Have you considered other cheap motor options, such as wheelchair motors, as they give fr more performance and design scope?

Thanks for the answer noorbeast. Here in Brazil, wheelchair motors are much more expensive than wiper motors. That's why I chose the wiper motors. My question is: is the nominal torque or the maximum torque more important?

Go for more torque and something like a shoulder of foot mount design, as both of those have lots of inherent design leverage.
