Has anyone used both rigs and can compare them? I had a Dofreality P3 for a couple years and liked it but hated dealing with SimTools and felt like the motion was too jerky and that actually kind of distracted from the experience for me. From what I've seen of the Yaw VR it appears to have smoother movement but its hard to tell from videos.

just bumping this post as I would also like a comparison of the two. I have ordered a yaw and it should be here tomorrow but the dof with 6dof looks really good and im wondering if I should DIY or just buy. I do like a good project and I could take my time on it since I will have a sim there is no rush. also I know i am going to want something bigger then the yaw after a while its just the nature of the beats never satisfied lol.

I have the YAW VR Pro edition, and a ProSimu T1000 M5 sim, so I can't compare to the DOF P3. IMHO, I don't think the YAW is suited for racing games like Assetto Corsa. There was no comparison between the T1000 and the YAW in terms of motion realism, it's real jerky at this point. I will say the YAW development team is constantly improving the Game Engine software, so the ability to adjust the motion is constantly improving. I just could never seem to get traction loss to work.

Using the YAW in my flight games, and roller coaster game is another story, a very real feeling of motion, especially roll. I have a DOF Reality 6DOF on order, I'll compare the two once it's operational.
