I'm planning to build a 6DOF hexapod motion system using AC Servo motors. Can someone please guide me to a threat which will be helpful and which uses the servo motor's rotary encoder for position sensing. Thanks for the help

A 6DOF is an ambitious first project, so doing plenty of research is time well spent.

You will find general information in the FAQs to get you started, in particular check out the design and 6DOF sections, plus the SimTools manual: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

You can go through existing member projects for specific ideas or inspiration, in particular have a good look at some of the most recent 6DOF builds, as they introduce some new refinements and hardware options: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

Or search for specific types of projects, such as AC servo and rotary encoders, using the Google Custom Search function on the Recent page: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/find-new/posts?recent=1

If something sounds odd then look it up in the glossary: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

    Good luck with your project.
