I currently have a 5 dof build that I completed using SCN6-60 actuators, and now I'm looking for the next thing to do with my time. I came across the SFX-100's, and it looks like a nice project.

    I have 4 questions:

-Can you run the SFX-100's with Simtools (I know I saw something about using arduino with Simtools)

-Can the SFX-100's be built with a longer throw? I'd like to go 150mm

-I see they have slightly more torque vs the SCN6, and over double the speed. Anything else I need to know in relation to the SCN6?

-in a 5dof, any reason why I can't use an SCN-6 actuator for yaw, and the SFX-100s for pitch and roll (I have a spare SCN6-20 laying around.

Sure. Follow the instructions on https://opensfx.com/ to build the DIY SFX100 actuators...

Then use the AMC-AASD15A controller instead of their Leonardo arduino, for simtools:

    Thanks
