Starting a 2dof wooden build, once I get it up and running would like to go to 3dof and build from 80/20.
Did some testing, did not go well, could not get the motors to turn. will be doing some more trouble shooting today. prop shaft is from Nissin 240, worm gear motors. the unpainted part is sitting on top of my old rig so I can still race!

Thank you, I will try to get some better pictures of the boards and how they are wired. Long hours at work keep me from doing much through the week.
Thanks you again, I would love to get it up and going soon.

Got my motors to turn today, by accident. Wasn't getting anything at all, than set potentiometer to middle setting and clicked on motor 1, and motor suddenly stated, same with motor 2. I could turn the potentiometer and it would speed or slow then motor then quit. I could restart motors 1 or 2 again by clicking motors 1 or 2. Is this normal for worm gear motors?
    I hope this makes since!

I had pretty much the same problem with a faulty MotoMonster Controller. I would check the voltage output of whatever motor controller you have. Also maybe try to power the motors directly just to verify that they function as intended to isolate the problem.

Please also post picture of all of your settings.

I will look forward to your video.

Just checking, do the motors respond as expected in SMC3?

Do not run SMC3 and SimTools at the same time, as that will cause a port conflict.

Try 500000 BitsPerSec in the SimTools interface settings.

Create a base profile in Axis Assignments.

    Then test in Output Testing.

The blue line does not go towards the center line.
I can set the potentiometers to the mid point, then start the motors. I can then turn the potentiometer oneway and it will shut off the motors when it meets the max limit. I can then reset the potentiometer to its mid point, restart the motor and turn the potentiometer in the opposite way and it will turn the motors in the reverse direction, until it reaches it's max limit.
I wonder if I have the wrong pots (they are the 10k pot), as I've not read about anyone else with this issue!
    Thank you for helping!!!

They are a B type 10k linear taper and they are audio! Didn't notice that when I ordered.
    Thanks you for your help!

I promised a video a couple weekends ago, but our dog of 13 years passed away. sad weekend :(
so this weekend I went to work on the sim again.

Got it working this weekend!!!! tested in SMC3 and simtools. and also a test in Assetto Corsa to see if it worked in a game.
What I did was change potentiometers (don't think that was the problem). noticed I didn't have the most up to date SMC3 file for the Arduino or SMC3 utility.
thank you all again for all the help!!!!
Next weekend hope to have a full working 2 DOF motion sim!!!
