    Hello!

What is the recommended minimum roll and pitch angle by experience for a full frame racing sim?

I'm working on a 2DOF racing sim with front mounted engines and the most practical placement for the motors gives +/- 10 degrees roll and +/- 5 degrees pitch (with 65mm CTC). Roll looks OK but what about the pitch? It's technically possible to move the motors closer to the pivot point/seat but not practical when entry the seat.

Per your “a full frame racing sim“
I would guess you meant to a frame mover 2dof.

All I see for most of frame mover 2DoF or 3DoF seem to sim the chassis roll/pitch movement.
My max roll/pitch angles of chassis are +- 6/3.5 degree, respectively.
For a real race car, max roll and pitch angles probable < 5 degree and < 2 degree, respectively.

Beyond chassis movement, if you want sim motion cue for g-effect, IMO you may consider adding seat mover ,,,,,,,(2 motors at front for chassis and 2 motors on back for seat).

Thanks @joe extraknow. I'm not looking for g-effect so your input is very helpful :)

I'd expect that answer from a European but not an American. Ever heard of Nascar? Maximum angle in Nascar is 36 degrees. And I'm pretty sure the roll and pitch angles are always relative to gravity and not the roll of the vehicle relative to the bank of the track. However when at speed and with the proper sway settings you will experience few degrees roll if any even when the track is at a 36 degree bank. I'm not sure how this is dealt with on a 6dof though.

I guess we are not talking the same thing.
NASCAR is left turn only track (counterclockwise oval track). The track surface purposely build in xx degree incline for high speed left turn (in order to sustain over 200 mph).

The chassis roll angle I refereed to is body roll angle related to normal line perpendicular to the track surface. You can calculate yourself, given a lateral g:
