    What is up.

After reading the forums for about a day I decided I am going to make a cheap and simple 2 DOF windshield wiper simulator.

Im going to contact a BMW scrap yard nearby and get two identical BMW windshield wiper motors and some link rods/ball joints or whatever they are called.

Im probably going to build the frame out of wood for sake of simplicity. Looking for a cheap seat, probably will go for some noname Aliexpress seat.

Any comments on my parts list or good advices for the first build?

    Thanks!

    Parts I ordered:

    Steering wheel
    Logitech G29 with shifter
    Potentiometer
Potentiometer, Linear, 10K, 1W, Single Turn, ½" Cermet, Panel Mount (Lot/2)
    Power supply

If you are using clone MMs then test them when they arrive: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/reputable-monster-moto-suppliers-testing-before-use.158/

Consider a LED strip PSU from Ebay, as they are not as sensitive to power spikes as server PSUs.

While a little more expensive I consider Hall Sensors better value, as they won't break if over rotated, are simple to attach to a motor shaft using a correctly sized flexible coupling, are very accurate and have a really long life span I use these: https://au.element14.com/bi-technol...fs/sensor-hall-0-2v-20v-to-10v-pin/dp/2319662

I went with your suggestions and added a LED power supply and hall sensor.
