Hopefully a quick answer for a quick question

I am running the Arduino SMC3 coding and in that original guide it has the output code format listed as "[A<Axis1a>][B<Axis2a>][C<Axis3a>]".

While reading through the SimTools 2.4 manual in the serial port interface settings, it says to end the code output with an "e".

Is the "e" necessary at the end of the code? E.g. "[A<Axis1a>][B<Axis2a>][C<Axis3a>]e"

Nope buddy, the example in the manual is just an example so people can better understand how the output is constructed.
    Take care,
