Could someone review the parts list for my first 6DOF?

    Hello!

    Over the upcoming months my plan is to build a 6DOF rig for VR racing and flight sim. I first want to thank all of the awesome people who post their projects here on the forum, as it has given me a ton of inspiration, and been a big help to me so far! Before I begin pulling the trigger on purchases, I would appreciate if some of you could take a look at the parts I'm planning on using. A lot of the items I found via the FAQ section here, but others I've found on my own.

    Construction (wood frame)
    1. Threaded rods (6x) ($9.06 ea.) ($54.36 total) - link
    2. Rod joints (12x) ($9.40 ea.) ($112.80 total) - link
    3. Wood, glue, and screws from home depot or similar
    Electronics
    1. Motors, 35-55RPM, 60NM, 80W (6x) ($61.50 ea., $19.00 ea. shipping) ($483.00 total) - link
    2. Motor controller (6x) - I need a reputable Monster Moto dealer, if anyone has suggestions
    3. Hall pots (6x) ($16.59 ea.) ($99.54 total) - link
    4. 450W power supply (2x) ($19.05 ea.) ($38.10 total) - link

    I'm sure I've forgotten a million things which I'll either find along the way, or hopefully be reminded about here, but this is what I have so far. My biggest questions are about the motors--they're sold by a eBay seller who was linked to in the FAQ here, and he seems to have been on eBay for a long time, and have awesome reviews, but they almost seem too good to be true...if anyone has thoughts on them I would appreciate hearing about it!

    Youre thoughts about the motors are richt 60nm at 35/55 rpm and 80watt is inpossible, 6nm makes more sence

    80w isn't impossible. An efficient motor could get 1nm for every 1w I think

    1NM/s = 1 watt

    So getting 60NM out of a 80w motor is theoretically possible.. but beware of misleading Ebay listings. Be sure they do returns if the motors don't turn out to be as good as they advertise. It seems a little too good to be true imo, but I could be wrong.

    To be correct 1 watt= 1 joule
    And 1 joule is 1 newton with a speed of 1 meter a second
    and jou can make nm from newton

    To make it complete
    A 750watt motor delivers 2.4nm at 3000rpm
    3000 rpm gives 50 rounds a second, and 1 newton is 1 NM
    so radius is 1 meter this give 2 x pi x 50=314 meter a second
    750watt/314meter sec.\=2.4NM
    This whippermotor is 80 watt and got a speed from 6.28 meter a second with 60 rpm
    So 80watt/6.28mter sec.\=12.7NM minus gearbox efficienty
    Whippermotor are self locking this give a i 50 ratio ore more and means there effincienty is les than 60%
    12.7nm x0.6 =7,6NM
    So it,s complete
