    Hi,
when exactly is Simtools checking the interfaces or better the serial connection ?
Background: Simtools is automatically starting with Windows. Sometimes I do not have the Arduino plugged (or interface is used by Simutils) and I get an error message like "No connection to COM3".
Do I have to manually close Simtools, plug the Arduino and restart Simtools ?
Or is the COM port / serial interface checked more often and no closing/restart necessary ?

    thx, Arazok

Normally connection is made when games are started but not always. AC for example starts when a race starts. And if you mean SMC3 utilities close it before starting a game.

Ok, thanks. It would be great, if the interfaces are ALWAYS checked when you start a plugin, that would avoid iconvenient hand grips when Simtools is started without a connected USB serial interface. Maybe a hint for the next release.
When Simtutils is running, I help myself by switching to UDP listening and then I don't have to restart Simtools.
