Motors position on 2DOF

    Hi there!

    I am writing this thred becouse of that I saw many different motion simulators. With different motor positions on the frame. So where is the best place to mount them? Especially for 2DOF simulator? (In my case is wheelchair motors)

    It depends on your design criteria.

    Basically you can have a shoulder mount, compact with front or rear placement, knee mount and foot mount.

    En mi caso, uso 2 varillas rosadas desde la parte posterior hasta la parte superior del asiento y la verdad es que funciona bastante bien, no sé si será lo más real que intenta encontrar, no he probado los motores debajo del chasis.

    I place my question here, as it is also regarding motor position:
    By using simtools, I found a good motor positon with good pitch (and roll) efficiency.
    My (maybe wrong) assumption is/was, that the CTC lever and the rod should give a 90 degree angle in rest position.
    In my design this is happening when CTC rest angle is ~ 16 degree.
    But in simtools the pitch efficiency is raised, when I go to 30 degree of rest angle.
    But then the angle between rod and lever is approx. 110 degree, so much about 90 degree.
    So, what's wrong ?

    Any hint is appreciated :)
