Yes it is right now. Have had no issues to date, but then I have only had limited testing.

Right now I am in a hold mode. I have had some binding issues with the design so Jonathan has developed an new tube design that will eliminate this. I expect parts in another 2 weeks and once I get them retrofitted I should be all up and going.

I hope your issues get resolved. Sounds like this was a rushed product...

I hope you can get better motion at least than other DIY 6DOF platforms:

Hi all, just a quick update that parts arrived today. It will take a couple of weeks for me to complete all of the work but now the process can start. :)

Some, I have the new actuators but when I started retrofitting the first one we identified some differences in clearances between the old gearing housing and the new one. I was able to assemble and test the actuator with the new design and conform that it has resolved the binding issues but I was not able to completely tighten the gearbox housing as the clearance difference was causing binding on the gearing to its base plate. Jonathan is making me a new set of spacer rings that are a 1mm thicker that should solve this issue. These have now been completed and are on there way over. Once I get them I will finish the first actuator and do some testing, then complete retrofitting the rest.

The good news is that the retrofit is relative easy and once I get going should not take more that about 2hrs per actuator. So getting closer. :)

Hi all, I know it has been some time but I am making progress now. Have the new parts retrofitted to the problem actuators and all is working. I will post more soon but here is a small video. As you can see the sim take up most of my office. :D

Do you have any pics that show the actuators extended?

No but if you look at the video there home position is a little over the midway of full extension. I would guess they have about 60 cm of displacement. Let's just say it's a lot! :)

I just ordered a Dragonfly as well - shipping to the US! I did a lot of research before ordering and this seems to be the best out there (in the affordable range to an individual anyway).

What are the footprint dimensions for this? Also, once the seat is mounted, what would be the required height for clearance? I would like to use such a system with VR?

Foot print is 7’X7’ but In a triangle it doesn’t have a square base. You would need 7’6” for head room from floor.

Does the system come with game settings and presets? How simple is it to adjust customize the cockpit (i.e. attaching flight stick, throttle and pedals)? What is the max size of monitor that it can support?

I'm very interested in this rig, but there does not appear to be any info on the web from users etc...just a bit gun shy at pulling the trigger!

He has a support system for the Samsung 49” ultra wide monitor. Jonathan is really good to work with and will help you with presets and custom mounts if needed but has a good selection of mounts for flight stick thrust master throttle, rudder and wheel etc.

Any new updates on this? I’m thinking about getting a simulator to practice when I’m not at the track and looking for the most realistic one under$20k.
